Didn’t Swann say he would be starting work in a month on the ground? the slip road?
He has said so many things over the past eight years ironawe, but the only one that has come to being is that the club ran up £12 million of debt under his wing, all the other 9 items are still awaiting acting on, possibly better to look out for the old “preverbrial pinch of salt!”

Didn’t he sack Laws after losing in the first round of the FA Cup to a local rival?
He certainly did Northumbiron, but things are very different now, at that time the club owned its own ground and land and there was no reason for the club not doing well, but administration and liquidation of the club would bring its rewards to one area, as everyone is now suggesting, there is no other way of looking at this sad situation, 2 wins in 28 matches and rock bottom of the football leagues bottom division, and it goes on and on and on, we are the embarrassment of the football league.

Coxes excuse on Humberside was that “he was worried prior to the match, because one or two of the players looked a bit slow during midweek training”, what a bloody clown he is, but after saying that maybe the 2,000 remaining paying supporters are bigger clowns for still turning out to support hs rubbish, and possibly going a long way in keeping him in a job.
On another topic I’ve seen Deadpool at more games than our own superhero chairman (insert suggestion for name)
Bartonscorpion? Cheeky twat Northumbiron!!!!!
After listening to the clown on RH, he said he was a bit worried before todays match, because one or two of the players looked a bit slow in mid-week training, he should be imformed that mid-week training is to keep the lads fit and to plan a few different moves and systems, and not to run their balls off, that should be done on match days. Cox is one hell of a negative minded guy that hasn’t got a bloody clue on football management, and after being in charge at Scunny for approaching 70 matches, we still go out on match days and play the shit that he insists they play, so under Cox, Lillis and Mussa the team have now won two games in their last 28 matches, and have not won an away game for 18 matches, unless you count the 4-1 preseason win at Barton Town OB, what a bloody record to have round your neck!!, and Swann still keeps him employed, this must because he wants the club to do a Bury, and to drop into non-league will be a good start on that mission, there can be no other possible reason, his land will be worth one hell of a lot more in value when that happens, he is another of those corrupt business brigade, who think and act completely for themselves, he has even given up on his bullshit statements these days, and just to think, even I supported him 100% for his first five years at what was our football club. No wonder he does not attend games any longer, but I bet he will be present when the club goes bankrupt.
Some amusing posts here.
BS thinks Cox might really go for the three points….aye, right, and I might start trusting SwannyAnd CBRP thinks Cox might resist disrupting a side, leaving out his favourites.
What a pair of comedians you are, you little tinkers.
NO NO NO Alkazar, I suggested that if Cox went for the 3 points (my suggestion), they are there for the taking with Colchesters poor form. Then added that knowing Cox it would be 5-4-1 and let them attack us, thats the only system that he knows and uses, that’s why I never bother wasting my time by going to games, yes the first season in 71 years and very sad, but Cox must be the reason for the 1,800 drop in gates.
Sorry my mate, but please do not tinker with my words, there are enough that does that, I have a job with doing that myself ha ha! And just for the record, it was reported that you had been seen drinking with Peter at Forest Pines, and that you had bought the three rounds of drinks that you had together, is that true Alk ???

Those last two home performances have got me a bit giddy, I genuinely believe they have shown that this squad is capable of better when they roll up their sleeves and work hard for each other. Still short of quality overall and that won’t change anytime soon but with Colchester struggling I am also going for a 0-1 away win, probably the first time in ages that I have agreed with BS. Don’t let me down guys just keep bloody grafting for 95 minutes tomorrow.
Not probably Iron-awe, but surely !!!!!!!!
Probably got you down as “likely to have passed away before we get round to doing anything”.
I think that all of the fans will have passed away before the New Stadium is built, or when Championship football is to be seen at GP.
All I ask for is a bit of entertaining attacking football to be played by our team, it isn’t really asking dfor a lot is it?
I wonder how many Scunny supporters will pass away before the teams next win ha ha!
They may have you both in the “likely to criticise” category and have sent your surveys to UTI99 for positive feedback.
Cass, I don’t mind them sending mine to my old buddy UTI-99, but dread them forwarding it to Heathy and Deereyme, they have the cheek to have me down as a racist, so they could also get other things wrong when making comments about me wink wink !!

I still haven’t got mine, but there again after 71 years supporting the club, maybe not classed as being a regular fan.
I am going for a 1-0 win for Scunny, it is not that we are playing good football, but more a case of Colchester falling quickly down the league, and one win out of their past five matches, and some very poor home form suggests that if Cox really went for the three points, they are there for the taking, but Cox must play a similar or the same team as last Saturday, but knowing Cox, it will sadly probably be a 5-4-1 set up with three changes.
I still cannot see why young Wilson cannot even make the bench never mind the starting eleven, is he injured?
I am rally missing my old pal UTI-99, I appreciate that he is probably spending lots of time at Blackpool, but he will probably still have his office at GP, so please come back UTI-99, or if you want any of us to post on your behalf, just say the word, because I bet I can publish your views, word for word ha ha!
So Ferrite—I agree with what you are saying in one way “that the goalkeeper is expected to make some good saves, because that is his job”. But as Daz was saying, the result could easily have gone the other way pal, and I was not present at the game, so you obviously have a right to comment more than myself, where as I can only go by what I read on the BBC Report, I appreciate that point.
But with the Scunny goalkeeper probably being the teams MOM, which most agree with, the other factors being on the BBC report that possesion was 40% Scunny and 60% Crawley, this added to the satistic of Scunny having one corner and Crawley ten corners, maybe suggests that Scunny’s performance was an improvement, but they could so easily have not won the game. Please do not slag me off guys, because as I stated, I was not at the game.
But all the same it was a nice three points to get, and keeps us in with a chance of getting away from the bottom, but we need a few more wins so as to show up on the League Table.

I would imagine the club are not to bothered about your non attendance BS, you don’t come across as someone who gets behind the team.
So you are saying that what the team offer is entertaining and enjoyable enough that gives fans any reason to get behind the them ????.

Awaywego (UTI-99), you always seem to access information that normal supporters do not hear about, like many think, are you an employee of the club?

So a few fans that braved another home game at GP are saying that I should still attend just to keep the club afloat, so although 80 years of age, I should go to sit in the car park from 13-45hrs till prior to kickoff, in order to get a blue badge space near the Cluggy turnstiles, because of walking difficulty, sit in the Cluggy for nearly two hours watching boring defensive football, then drive back to Barton feeling very annoyed that I have wasted half a day, when I could have sat in comfort of my house during that period of time, and when it is shown, watch it on i-follower.
You are saying you enjoyed the game yesterday, maybe so, but what about the other 9 out of 10 games that have been shite???, confirmed by yourselves on this forum, and what I consider a stab in the back, is that the club owner and chairman cannot be bothered his arse to attend!!
No one has supported SUFC more than me ever since league entry in 1951 (apart from this season when I did not renew my season ticket, one of my better moves), so please do not complain at my support of our club, and if and when things change for the better, and enjoyment can once again be gained by attending, I shall be there all being well, but presently there is little or no reason to attend, but at the same time, I hope you guys still enjoy the games, and things get a lot better, but with these management team in charge, I really cannot see it happening, at the same time, I hope that I am wrong!!
Sammy, the entertaiment value is not there, when Cox has gone I will be back in the Cluggy, but to watch the team playing under his instructions just does not appeal to me, by the looks of the present gates, there are many more with the same opinion.
Yes they have bought back Gigg Lane, but are to play xnext season in the tenth teer league, if this happened to Scunny, would you support the club in lets say the same league as Brigg Town, I very much doubt it!!!
The club should get Pugh and Wilson signed on three year contracts, and at the same time offload dead wood.
I am sorry guys but I cannot comment on todays match, simply because I did not either see it or listen to it. Grimsby were on Radio Humberside 605, and Scunthorpe do not shoe i-follower for home games, but varid reports on this thread, with bad substitutions once again, and all dropping back into our penalty area. the players are not to blame for this as its the only thing that this so called manager knows, but a big well done to the players for holding out, although it could easily have cost us like many games, but Cox appeared to blame the players. But well done guys, and glad that Pugh and Rory had very good games, and all we want now is to get young Wilson in the squad and playing matches.
Great to see the win, but the sad side of things is that it most likely means that Cox remains in charge of the team for a few more weeks, although his job looks safe enough as Swamm really likes him, even with todays game being his second win in the past 27 matches, it takes some believing but it’s true. So another easyish match next week against Colchester, so go for it lads, and if Cox is again going to blame you players for dropping everyone back into defence, take your own action and play on attack and lets have three more points on the board.
Although a few fans are over the moon, todays game was against a poor team that has lost five of its last six matches, but well done and so nice to see the win.
I think Scunny will play out of their skins today and force a 1-1 draw, I got the 0-2 correct last week in my first prediction of the season, so not lost my touch ha ha! gate 2,087.
It has been reported that the squad have really trained well during the week, so they will be feeling a bit knackered, but with a ten man in defence during the last 35 mins, should cling on to the 1-1 draw.
Is that an error Sanfran, or have Scunny made a couple of signings????.
Just asked pal because Scunny cannot score three goals in a month ha ha!, hope you are keeping ok mate.
I would relish the thought of Sir Nigel back in the Scunny dug out but I doubt that he would come to us as Manager as it would look like a backwards step for him.
However that doesn’t stop someone on the board asking if he would ‘help’ Cox a little, to look at things from a fresh perspective and bring a little positivity to the club and fan base. Yes it would cost money but not as much as firing Cox would – he could be employed as a consultant on a short term basis. They both have positive feelings for the club and both may benefit. Cox by having a sounding board to bounce off and Adkins for having a bit of a wage coming in.I have never heard so much rubbish in my life, get Adkins in to help Cox, that would really be an all time insult to Nigel, Christ Cox is beyond help with his systems and record since joining and ruining our club, yes as people say “he is a nice guy”, but the truth is “he is bloody clueless”, so why the hell should he not be sacked (apart from Swanns business plan of taking us out of the football league, there is no other reason for Cox being still at SUFC.
Nigel should be appeoached with good offer, probably not likely to accept it, but for Christ sake lets rid the club of Cox, Lillis and Mussa, the so called management team are clueless, and are costing the club a real lot of money with their methods, due to losing over 1,500 regular supporters every home game, which is even going to the extent of driving away fans from following the team.
The question is, don’t people think that 60 odd matches is enough to give them, the saying used to be give them ten more games, it now appears to be closer to two seasons. Since Cox tool over, the club have plunged to the present level of being 24th in League 2, with one win in 26 matches, so please do not suggest keeping the clowns in charge.

I suspect its the cost to get rid that is keeping him in a job. While there is hope we might turn the corner he will survive as it will conserve cash, and the last two games have shown slight improvement although lose on Saturday and surely he has to go.
If he’s here at the end of the season we are doomed. How many more times do people say (if, if if he fails next game), this has been said for months, the old chestnut was (he is a very nice man), well how nice is he if he is spoiling the enjoyment and entertainment of 4,000 fans every week by his systems that do not produce results.
He is costing the club tens of thousands of pounds by supporters not attending matches, so he is not coserving the clubs cash, it would be peanuts in money to bladder Cox, Lillis and Mussa and get a manager that has the slightest knowledge on how to operate a football league team, compared with what these clowns are costing, and there is no possible way that these three will survive the club sadly dropping into non-league football, and possibly the end of SUFC.
Swann must know this, he has made so many errors whilst at Scunthorpe, but keeping a management team like this, with one win in the last 26 matches, how can fans keep saying if we lose next week, or are they saying the past 60 games with Cox in charge can be overlooked???Enough is enough, in fact more than a bloody enough.

Many say Alexander should have stayed. For me – no. We were dropping down the league from 1st where we were on merit. GA tried to make us something we weren’t, why change what was working – we would have won that league.
You cannot even call this a ‘circus’ !!
I think that Scunny at present are a very good axample of a circus, we certainly have the best squad of clowns in Swann, Cox, Lillis and Mussa, bet you cannot name a team with so many as Scunny.
But washes off
Not th verbal type Alcazar, and awaywego is dishing a bit of it out.
Exactly NLI, adinistration and probably liquidation could easily follow if league status is lost, or should that read when its lost in April.

Sure it’s the whole management team Random, if not why are the others letting that bloody clown do what he always does without steppingin and saying to him we have tried this method twenty odd times and still failing, lets change it!!!!!!!, same as you say the goal keeper stopped a thrashing, andmit will go on and on with these bloody idiots on the touchline.
Next week, the guys that locked the main access gate should lock the managers office door with him inside it.

Well you bloody clown Cox, if Swann won’t sack you, for Christ sake resign, your fault that we only took 1 point from this game with you getting the team to drop fully into defence on the 55 minute, you have Rory Watson to thank for us not getting thrashed, Scunny made Barrow look like a Premier team, as they passed us to death, when Cox brought Beestin on, all the Barrow danger came from their right wing, Beestin and Thompson were so static as cross after cross came from there.
Todays player ratings:-
WATSON—9—Made some fantastic saves and even stopped a penalty, well done Rory.
TAFT—7—Had a good game and scored a very good goal.
ROWE—5–He is so poor and easily beaten.
ONARIASE–7–Played well, and lasted the 90 mins whilst some floundered.
THOMPSON—5—His winger had a free run many times.
MILLEN—5—Not impressed with him.
PUGH—5—Also had a poor game, andgave away the penalty, room for improvement.
HACKNEY–4—Far from being a league player, a few bad passes, should be on bench.
HIPPOLYTE—5—Very hot and cold, no ball control whatsoever.
LOFT—5—Ran his socks off but his shooting is terrible, worst penalty seen.
SCRIMSHAW–5—Buzzed about a lot, but we had no forward power what so ever.REF—8—Thought he had a good match, and seemed to be in charge of things.
COX—3—Winning 1-0 and holding out ok, then the bloody clueless clown dropped nine men into defence as usual, and Barrow camped in our third of the pitch, and it was just a matter of time, and only Watson saved Cox’s skin from a thrashing that his substitutions and systems deserved, how the hell does he keep his job, and now one win in 26 matches under him and his fellow clowns, Swann wants shagging for his actions of taking our club into non league, and it would take years to get back if they drop down which seems a certainty under this management team.
Although I bought an access to the game on i-follower yesterday and received confirmation and ID # I could not access today and had to pay again, did any others have this problem???
