Urban myth there ferrite, with 972 pubs and the trade they do they would struggle to find bin end beer to keep them going, don’t doubt they get better prices than anyone else just on the volume they get through.
That’s if you can get a taxi Deerey normally at away games taxis won’t go anywhere near the football ground due to amount of traffic.
Look NLI in my first post I was more than welcoming, in yours you ask why he Spennymoor had more information than us that’s where the shite was and you were took in by him, not from a question he’d asked, then in a further post you back him up again by saying why should Spennymoor know while our fans are kept in the dark, that’s where the shite was, and to be fair to spennysupporters i could have left it at my first post but when you come on backing and believing his shite bit of the post with misinformation on it and you spreading it and obviously causing decision else me and you wouldn’t still be going on about it.then taking an interest on what he had said I eent on their supporters club page and saw they had booked a 34 seater coach not he 2 he had said, and unless on Tuesday a second coach arrived late only one was there at 7pm.
Was going to suggest Rory but I see he’s doing the biz at York, nice to see him keeping his record up 2 games played 7 conceded.
Wasn’t being disrespectful to their fans they were a credit to their team, just the one who came on here spouting shite.
Honest lawyer just round the corner from the station 250 yds Blue bell wethers 300 yds further along, recommend a taxi to the ground from there, Iron bar at the ground but that will be rammed on Saturday, the lawyer is a football pub and is good for home and away fans,
Sponsorship has normally brought in more than the gate receipts, then there’s the the new club lottery on the way, catering and hospitality, so should go somewhere to us surviving.
False economy getting rid of anyone at the moment we are there or there abouts, have a look in January and see where we are, keep winning and the crowds will build and build, since when have clubs had to rely on gate money to get by anyway , 12 clubs in our league are getting by on less than 1000 average attendance and must be relying on owners to keep them afloat, I expect mine to do the same. We won’t keep getting the crowds we get at the moment if we’re stuck in this league for to long.
Doubt anyone could afford to leave, Butterfield and Wilson had a look and realized they were better off here, maybe plead to their conscience for the good of the club, Butterfield seems decent and maybe could be persuaded plus the loanees. Ps Cliff don’t forget nigh on 1500 season ticket holders that the new owner won’t see a penny from.

At 2-0 they changed to a 5 man midfield and we were getting over run over till Dentons cross killed them off. What a difference Clunan made and what a game Scales and Smith had, god night all round.
Ps, not forgetting the 2 biblical storms this season, and even Saturday lots of fans on the train didn’t get there Chester put the away attendance at 361, not going well is it. But it will change sometime won’t it.
New team, multi new owner, same malaise in most games, bad decisions go against us, needless mistakes at the back costing us a goal and heads and go down, that’s Scunny united over the last 4/5 seasons. Can anybody put a finger on it? no matter how many new managers or players come in they seem to inherit the lack of confidence pride and fight that IFA alludes to.
Survival is the main goal clearly, and it will all come at a price on the pitch.
So that’s 2 away games in a row backpasses have cost us goals, quite simple really stop doing backpasses (and playing it along the back line), it’s boring anyway, the rule of no backpasses to the goalie was brought in to stop time wasting and encourage more attacking play, well that certainly failed, scunny ain’t no man city just pack it in and get on the front foot and take it to teams.

Well unless Spennymoor have a last minute selling spree on tickets it would appear that “spennysupporters” was feeding us a load of bollocks they’ve only sold 21 in total so far not even enough to fill the 34 seater coach they HAVE booked and there was NLI believing every word from him, could do without visitors to Bru spouting shite we’ve can and do do that ourselves.
Was it mucking about at the back that cost us 1st goal?
Busing them from Donny to Sheffield hope there getting on well with the cod fans lol.
Dean asking for fans to dig deep to help the chairman out in his article and doesn’t seem it’s about the ground, slightly worrying!
Good chance plenty wont make it the trains aren’t running between Donny and Sheffield they were sending em round by Leeds but now that line is down at the moment.
That’s great news, not going myself today but a son and grandson are, grandsons first game with just his mates big day for him.
Absolute farce Rotherham game called off tonight, assurances from Rotherham that they weren’t even going to have a pitch inspection, 2500 Ipswich fans were traveling up, and yet the railway station was shut before dinner which is less than 500 meters away, could and should have been called off before anyone traveled f ing disgusting.
Pitch inspection 9 o’clock tomorrow, not much good for the train lads hope it’s on for them and everyone else who’s going.
Was going to berate you there Deerey till i read the other threads, you were more polite than i would have been lol.
Perhaps the tuther side was right in calling Bru sycophant to Swanny.
Why the removal of the thread “Thank you Peter Swann” why not just an offensive post if there was one, don’t like the censorship. Are posters not allowed to praise or criticize our previous owner, ordo we have to tread on eggshells now.
All Swann wants is a little bit of his money back, sure he’s past caring whether some posts call him a thief and a liar, not like he owns the club anymore. Then again he might just have some fun who knows.
I always thanked Peter Swann. At the time it was a bit like finding a tory voter before Boris came along. This deserves its own thread.
“Oh no” we mustn’t upset him god forbid.
There we go a update from the club for the next 2 games, in plenty of time for home fans to sort themselves out whether to go or not, and hopefully gives the certainty to Spennymoor fans to come along as well, difficult times and we must cut the owners a bit of slack and not demand updates willy nilly.

And i take offence at your continuing whining, remember we had it before buying your season ticket, you obviously took the risk and maybe it’s come back to bite you and many more including me, plenty said not to get one and you didn’t listen, probably karma with me never being an home fan first season ticket ever and all that.
