Hurst rescued from being the worst Iron player on the pitch by Barrows performance?
It would be a tough call, I thought Denton was terrible.
February 8, 2026 at 10:35 am #316116Yeah ,pretty hard all round apart from maybe Evans who got stuck in .Mahardy had to make a few routine saves which suggests he was quite exposed too.Tough day but we won and subs improved it for once

Good ball by Denton to Cam for the goal but in truth the majority of the team were poor first half, second half big improvement IMO.

February 8, 2026 at 2:14 pm #316137Apollo11 /7 cassidystash & 64, Hurst is awful, guess he only plays as he has a doncaster connection so AB likes him.
The chance he missed against Forest Green and he did nothing yesterday, how C Smith on the bench over Hurst.
AB needs to play Smith instead of Hurst from now on and the new striker from Coventry looked very fast yesterday and tough2 users thanked author for this post.

He did make a couple of excellent stops too but I’d hardly call his performance ‘colossal’ as Matt E did. I think it’s called ‘projecting’.
February 8, 2026 at 6:24 pm #316142Never felt Mahardy had anything too difficult to deal with, decent saves, a couple of crosses. Interesting having seen the video of their pens not much contact to go down with on either. If it was against you would say a pen, i’m happy to say no pen. Their players didn’t surround the ref with rage, perhaps they knew too. And ref missed a clear shirt pull on Whitehall so evens it up. Truth is they weren’t good enough, ref gave them an excuse

February 8, 2026 at 8:12 pm #316144Hurst looks like he is getting use to the quality he is now playing with after Gateshead. Just needs to take a risk and it come off.
February 8, 2026 at 10:04 pm #316146Hurst will become the new whipping boy for some, after all Beck is out on loan as is Campbell and AB who some wanted sacked less than a year ago has got us promoted and has us lying third in the National League, someone has to fill the void for the pathetic crew to chip away at, lol.
