Losse the next 2 at home and i still dont think JD will be sacked
I think he will if he loses those two because post match against South Shields he sounded more than a bit rattled/worried.
What are fans supposed to do cliff, accept mediocrity just because we still have a club ?. Very dangerous attitude to have, cliff. That’s the kind of attitude which stunts progression.
Its clear under whatever circumstances JD has lost the dressing room
Post match interview when Dean said the players didn’t respond to him after he approached them about the early 2nd half goal last night, just goes to prove that for whatever reason that they aren’t listening to him.
Once that happens it’s pretty much over for the manager.
They’re in form so I’ll go for 1-2 to Alfreton, which will more than likely result in Dean getting the push.
“You was also desperate for new players to come in when it could be argued they weren’t needed”
I beg to differ, it’s the quality of who’s come in which is questionable.
Did we need another striker ?. No doubt we needed one, but not one which comes on from the bench to then not be deemed good enough to even make the bench the next game. We needed a striker to make a difference, not a striker who hasn’t netted in 14 games for Farsley Celtic.
Crystal clear we needed another CM as Beestin isn’t match fit and Butterfield and Scales are struggling. Clarke did come here with the caveat of not being match fit, but from what I’ve read he does come with a certain degree of talent and pedigree.
Mcalinden looks a good player.
The young striker I don’t really get as we have Poulter, but going by what Dean said we got him for next to nothing. Still really short up top for me. Mcalinden could play up front, but then who’s going to play on the left ?. Wilson’s a bit hit and miss, Elliot isn’t a winger and Law is forever injured.
Thing is with Elliot as we all know isn’t a lone striker, we’ve been saying this for nearly 2 seasons. Why not stick Mcalinden up there with him as a link player ?
Whitehall I fear has had it.
It is clear to all that he needs to go however, as many others have stated, finances may dictate the outcome of that
Dean has 3 or 4 months left on his contract so I can’t envisage costing a great deal to pay him up. I suspect sending Beestin and say Barrows out on loan will pay for it.
Cliff, I’m not sticking the boot into Jimmy as I’ve said before I like him as a person, but you can’t escape the fact this job is too big for him.

I can’t see Crosby wanting to uproot himself to go manage in the National League North.

I know Michael Nelson is struggling at the minute but I’d go get him and have Butler as his assistant until the end of the season.
Put a fork in Jimmy. He’s done !
Will there be any crackling?
Contract is up end of this season so wouldn’t cost a lot to pay off. Dean’s been found out and as a result we’ve gone completely stale.
Put a fork in Jimmy. He’s done !
Again, how much experience of managing in this league did Tamworth’s manager have at the start of this season ?
Rarely works out that a manager with no experienced at the level goes on to win the league in his first season in it but reading about him you can begin to understand why they’re doing as well as they are.
Vastly experienced player at that kind of level with over 200 games under his belt.
Holds a UEFA B coaching license.
First season in charge of Rushden and Diamonds he won a cup double.
He has since led the team to the end of season playoffs twice before winning promotion to Step 3 at the end of the 2017-18 season.I think it’s fair to say their manager understands this level and football in general better than Dean.

As said before in another thread we have 4x the budget of the normal club at this level with the best support in the history of NLN and still he’s finding a way to struggle.
Dean’s contract is definitely up come the end of season and if I was Michelle and Co I certainly wouldn’t be offering an extension. I think we need a manager with experience at this level or the one below who fully understands this level of football and what’s needed.
Sticking point comes if we do go up then it becomes difficult to axe him but can’t see him prospering higher up as he’s struggling with us now at this level.
Regarding the midfield, Dean needs to grow some balls and drop Butterfield for Pugh and when Flynn is fit drop Scales. If we had another fit midfielder I’d drop Clunan as well but we haven’t so he stays in by default.
Whitehall needs dropping as he looks like he can’t be bothered anymore.

Pretty shocked he’s at least not on the bench to get the odd 10-15 minutes here and there.
Not arguing with your assessment of Poulter and that goal for Clee Town is a belter, but who are you leaving off the bench to include him, with only 5 subs available?
I’d leave Kelly out and include Poulter.

HMS piss the league
HMS piss the league has been shot by a cannon ball.
Best finisher at the club but Pugh came back as one of the most in form central midfielders in the league and yet we’re struggling in CM and he won’t give him a game.
No idea what’s going on in his head. I’d have played him in place of Butterfield personally but Dean keeps starting him and Scales. Clunan can stay where he is because we haven’t really got another sitting midfielder but scales and Butterfield both have been pretty poor for a while.
Scales I’d only keep in ahead of Butterfield because of his energy and mobility but I’d drop him as soon as Flynn is fit enough to start. I’m genuinely confused as to why Pugh isn’t starting and Poulter isn’t at least on the bench. I don’t quite understand the thinking behind it all.

What a goal on a shocking pitch.

Poulter scored a goal for us in the Lincs cup at home, a first time finish into the bottom right hand corner. The young lad is without doubt the best natural finisher at the club.
Only thing that goes against him is that he’s not the strongest. If he’s put on a strength programme similar to when KVV bulked up, there’s nothing stopping him scoring goals. I like him personally and he’s pretty quick which helps.
Pretty shocked he’s at least not on the bench to get the odd 10-15 minutes here and there.

Obviously a Tamworth win, Chorley can catch us but we won’t catch Tamworth. I’ll be rooting for Tamworth.
I beg to differ Cliff, to move forward as a club we need to get out of this league. The money invested in this season has been silly 4x the budget of clubs at this level so if Dean can’t do it with this group of players, he’ll never do it.
Highest budget in the history of National League north with the best support so if he can’t do it, he needs to be sacked immediately.
Whitehall was shocking, let him cry because what he’s giving on the pitch is nowhere near enough.
Whitehall looks like he can’t really be bothered. I wonder if his agent has been in his ear about clubs interested in him or he’s been told he’ll have to take a pay cut this season so feels less inclined to give a shit ?#
Whatever’s going on he needs benching.

Chorley win their game in hand they go 3 points behind us and are in much better form. Chester are picking up the pace now too. I can’t say I’m too sure. I just hope we pick up.
Big toe, if we keep stumbling along like this we’ll struggle to even make the play offs, never mind win them !
Something has got to give because whatever is wrong Dean clearly can’t rectify it. The same things are happening game in game out.
Central midfield was pretty much dead again and yet Pugh who was one of the form CM’s in the league can’t even get a game. First thing any sane person would do is put Pugh right in there for Scales and when Flynn is fit enough, play him in place of Butterfield. Central midfield needs freshening up and yet he’s picking the same 3 players game after game.
Clunan was better than usual but that’s not saying an awful lot.
Whitehall was shocking again and looks like he’s pretty much given up the ghost. May as well change to a 4/4/2 from the off and stick Youmbi and Elliot up top with Ferris and Law/wilson out wide with Pugh and Clunan in CM until Flynn is fit.
We need to try a different approach before we end up in deep shit.
Shrimpton’s gone on loan to Spennymoor for an initial month. The impression I got from Jimmy Dean when he was talking about players going out was that the only one’s leaving were one’s that wanted/needed games.
I can’t for the life of me see Elliot or Whitehall going. I’m expecting Beestin and Law probably to go out as both desperately need game time. Beestin definitely needs games.
Liam McAlinden’s only 30yrs old, for some reason I thought he was a lot older. Regarding the out goings, I expect Beestin to go out on loan due to the fact we signed Clarke. Shrimpton to go and maybe Law on loan to get minutes ?

1-3 to us. The new players and injection of freshness into the squad will do the trick.

I’ve just realised after looking on twitter, all these supposed in the know people is pretty much a piss take started by the somewhat famous Matt Ellis wide eye emoji.
Damn you !
Revolving doors at the Attis today.
Nothing so far. What have you heard/know ?
WG, DSF is looking one of our better players.
BTW, any recent reports on Law and Roberts?Law is back any time soon as his recovery for his toe is nearly done but Roberts is out till near the end of the season. The time it’s going to take him to get up to speed, he’ll probably make the odd cameo off the bench.
I like Roberts but he’s held together with duct tape.
I think there should be a boxing event, 64 vs Smoking Goat owner to happen down at GP with the money raised going into the clubs coffers.
Once 64 has a vendetta , god above.
