WG, I do hope you are correct but I fear you are not. However it was rumoured there may be 4/5 incoming so who knows but I could see Hill walking if there isn’t.

Walk in the club reception area and the picture on the wall shows how far the club has fallen, the scoreboard in the picture shows “SUFC 1 – Newcastle 0”.
Loft clearly didn’t want to be here so he as well gone, although given past players tend to come back and score against us I hope there is a clause in the contract that he cant play against us this season.

When the EFL offices open surely Loft must be the first transfer to be processed, closely followed by our incoming replacement.
The sooner he’s gone the better, clearly his opinion of himself is higher than his actual capabilities.1 user thanked author for this post.
Seems like he has attitude, well rid.

Typical of the Iron, seen it so many times before!
Defo need reinforcements.2 users thanked author for this post.
BUMP!
Maybe not a true six pointer, but another win would lift confidence further both on and off the pitch and be a great springboard for the rest of the season and hopefully mid table security.

Can’t see Hill taking any notice whatsoever of our cygnet scout, if players are forced on him I expect he would just walk away.

I agree Hill was a good appointment and he does seem to be turning things round, but let’s not get carried away, it does feel different this time but how many times before have we had a false dawn.
Onwards and upwards.Loft is an absolute waste of space, if he was the kit man it would be too much for him. He’s defo not a striker.

Just listened to the clip of the posh chairman talking about strikers, and if the striker he is referring to is actually Loft then Loft is more deluded than I thought possible-£5k/week with £1m release clause-Lofts not even with £500/week.He might be talking about someone else but the goals scored tallies.

Loft would struggle to get in a Brigg Town eleven let alone another league side.

Players, especially ours seem to be mercenaries nowadys, just playing for the biggest paycheck.
This lot have nothing of those already mentioned in the 70. The game has changed enormously and not for the better.1 user thanked author for this post.
Loans probably start because they have too.
Calling Loft a striker is an insult to other strikers.
All the players need to realise keeping us up is their only chance of playing league football because NON of them stand a chance of getting in any other league side.

Sounds like we’ve got a solid league 2 manager. Sounds quite motivational and there won’t be any hiding places for the players.
Listening to Hill’s after match interview it sounds like we have a proper manager know who actually understands football and people. I think he will and has spotted the shirkers/sick notes and I expect we will quickly move forwards.
It doesn’t say much for the previous management when the players are unfit.8 users thanked author for this post.
I’m optimistic, but I’m usually optimistic at the start of every game, well at least for ten minutes.
After listening to his post match interview I doubt it, and your on a wind up Alchy, but if he has go get Warnock who’s left Boro.

Bump!
I agree with that Alcy, this club has far too many sicknotes. You do have to wonder if all the injuries are bad enough to be unable to play.

That would be one way of covering the losses!
This comment was not intended to imply anything inappropriate was taking place.
Remember O’Leary was odds on and didn’t get the job, so the odds can be misleading.
That would be one way of covering the losses!
Is Keith Hill this year’s David O’Leary, who was also odds on and didn’t get the job?
That changed quickly, last I looked it was 6/5 against. WOW!
I wonder if someone in the “know” has been and got their money on!
Was it BPG who years ago was continually banging on about having Hill as manager ?
CT, I was referring to one of the previous occasions, not this time
Bookies odds mean nothing, O’Leary was odds on and still didn’t get it.
O’Leary was odds on and still didn’t get it, so what do the bookies know.
Adkins regularly used to say the Ave age of his side was 21, and they did OK. Age shouldn’t be a consideration, if they are good enough, they are old enough.
