I ask the question why has Keith Waters resigned and why was he asked to do so as Hilton said.? Is this another non-disclosure? He was vice-chairman.
This seems very odd particularly as apparently the other directors remain.
WHAM said he will make no further statements. Did he just recently bring in the other directors because he knew what was about to unfold and has left them to make the unpopular decisions which are about to unfold and they will take all the flack.
I was of the opinion at the time that it was a very strange decision to suddenly appoint so many directors particularly after him saying he was going to run the club and him cancelling the previous directors including vice-presidents Keith Waters and Ian Botham. Where was the sense in that. I always thought it good to have their two prestigious names connected with SUFC.

Does anyone have the facts on this subject ?

Wish him well… same as I did the other bloke but my teeth aren’t gritted on this occasion.

We might be going to watch them soon with Mistytown Mick if things don’t get better off the pitch

Glad to read the loan move to Scunthorpe actually benefitted him when I was expecting to read the opposite. Too easy to gamble and pro’s have to avoid at all costs. Hopefully he’ll get back on track soon, good to see his manager support him.

I’m with Fansy on this and completely agree if anyone has referenced Mr Hilton’s daughter it’s completely out of order; although I’ve not seen this reference either so hope it’s been removed.

Peter Clarke has signed for Warrington town, he’ll be a good player at this level.

Following on from the release of the squad numbers came an interview with JD

A nice and positive read. I wonder if he’s invested in a strive 25 journal?

Just get fitter game by game and maybe a better playing surface at Winterton tonight might see us grab a win, not essential but remaining injury free after the game is the main priority.

Winterton pitch always seems to be well cared for.

Barrie Thomas and the WI cut it with scissors twice a week.

I think the Ogle thing is a joke. There are enough concerns about the ground to worry about without these dubious rumours.

I’m walking into an ear bashing or keyboard equivalent here but maybe just maybe JD smashes it in this league? The owner wanted him due to his lower leagues winning mentality, some of the players we have are amazing on their day…. If he can get them to gel and remove the negativity of the last few years around the whole club then everything could really kick on.

Young players often lose their way if they don’t have a great mentor.

I was pleased to see Colclough get back on track, enjoyed watching him away at Wimbledon a few years ago.

Hope Callum has put the past behind him, has some hunger to match his talent and has a great season to kick us on.

The fact that they are both pictured inside Glanford Park and signing early well before end of contract in June surely bodes well? It’s always been a mess the last few years making signings just as the season is starting and those who are struggling for fitness, consistency or both.

I haven’t really heard much of the Iron Hour. I gave the one with Hilton a spin and have since skipped through a couple of the others, but wouldn’t class myself as a regular listener. Whilst they are definitely approaching it differently, they are giving it a good go and the production value has increased massively since the first episode. We too had teething issues when we started out, so it was good to see they managed to overcome those pretty quickly.

It seems to have been fairly well received and they deserve a lot of credit for sticking their heads above the parapet. You are certainly there to be shot at, as I well know. We tried our best with Swann, but ultimately that was never enough for many which is why we decided not to approach DH for an interview. I am sure, having seen some of the questions that were sent in for their interview with DH, that they may now appreciate how difficult a job we had.

It has been a real struggle to find the motivation to record a weekly IB podcast with the club in such turmoil. That said, listener numbers are still very good and have not been affected by the Iron Hour, so we are definitely going to continue until the day that changes.

We are recording a new episode this week and will then do a number of summer specials including the KVV episode which is on the way.

I’ve also been in touch with somebody else today to confirm another episode that we are doing next week. We will probably keep that one under wraps until we have recorded it and it will be shorter than usual, but the guest should prove excellent value!

Good to hear! Hope it’s Beags or Torps

It’s not over yet…. Other results all favourable and it still kind of in our hands, bar Notts County which is naturally a big ask against a goalscorer on fire. You just never know
