    Awful game to watch.

Well done Tamworth the league is definitely all yours.
The way this shower is playing we will barely limp into the play offs.

Was that an actual professional team?

Let’s Hope Tamworth’s run doesn’t continue as they could quite easily be long gone by the time the rearranged match is on.
I’d say that would knock more than a 1000 off in a midweek.

Won’t matter who’s back from the injury table or suspension.

    Bloody pitch inspection this afternoon.
Why not tomorrow as temperatures are set to rise.
Not as if they are travelling from Torquay.
Or would it suit us more for it to be off?

Worse 1st half than tues a bit better 2nd, they came and sat back got what they deserved, didn’t really think they were in the game that much but got 2 good shots away that Fitz did really well to keep out so got the man of the match, most of their attacks especially 1st half came from our sloppy play at the back, Evans after just 2 mins and Clunan on numerous occasions, ref mIssed a pen for us again but not to bad overall, not the prettiest of games but I’ll take that occasionally. Ps their number 9 right fatty but he out jumped our defender’s and was an handful all game.

Funny how there No.9 turned Evans on his arse in first half. Showed how poor Boyce and Evans are tbh.

Passing now theres a thing! no chance of finding a player in Claret & Blue. Absolutely woeful passing.
Clunan what has happened to him.
And a challenge wouldn’t go a miss from some,Instead of sticking a toenail in.
Whitehall spends more times in a tangle or on the grass than actually getting on with the game in hand.

And WTF is the sideways/backwards passing all about. It’s dogshit to watch and when we actually started to probe was when we stop dicking in the back four.
Boring game tbh and Fitz kept us in it.

I just noticed Bad Apple saying he’d bought a ticket for today even though he’s not going and viewing it as sponsorship. I like that and will do that more often.

Sounds a good plan, maybe I will start doing this as I miss many matches or maybe buy my first ever season ticket since 1977. I usually pay on the gate/now online and never bothered me paying extra as I don’t get to many matches and class it as helping out.

Any plans of the club coming up with a scheme for us supporters to help in anyway?

I agree a solution without Glanford Park is really not a solution at all.

It would be a stay of execution which is better than we are facing currently but without debt free use of the stadium I cannot see any prospect of a return to the EFL.

It would be ideal if the stadium was fan owned or at least 51% fan owned to guarantee this kind of situation cannot happen again.

Owning and funding the football club is a much more attractive proposition if the ground is guaranteed available for running costs and a peppercorn rent.

I would happily chuck in a grand or so towards the Iron Trust owning or part owning the ground providing Peter Swann is prepared to sell at a realistic price. There may be the appetite and the means amongst fans to raise the £1.5m that would seem to be about a fair price. Of course if Peter Swann has folks queuing up to pay the reported £3m for some relatively unattractive land with no planning consent and significant demolition costs then I fear the ground is gone forever.

Totally agree if it can be done by the trust and that’s one word we need is that many would sign up to raise £1.5 million.

….. I don’t think he will be , he was promised 3 million quid and in all probability won’t get anywhere near that for the ground – Hilton’s not going to pay is he + Swann is already missing out on the rental income he was promised by your current owner for GP .

Tbh I don’t care who’s down, promised money or not getting any rent. The club is buckled.
If the ground is worth nowt then so be it SUFC don’t own bog all.

The abuse he’s getting from so-called Iron fans on Twitter is an absolute embarrassment to the club.

never mind Twitter, it is worse on here, I don’t think some want to have a club to support

Exactly switch the lights off on the way out this is pretty boring now.

Any football we can talk about? England V Scotland.

If Hilton goes, he will have himself to blame for the destruction of the football club for lying and giving everyone false hope. It’s his fault, not sceptical fans or even fans who dislike him (or have an agenda) for his lack of honesty putting our club at risk.

Oh, and I haven’t forgotten. He shares that responsibility with Swann, who brought us to this low and whose laziness and incompetence just handed over the club to dodgy Dave without a care what happens, until dodgy Dave started hindering his finances.

The Destruction of SUFC was happening a long time ago not just since January I would say. We don’t deserve to be told porkies but it’s nothing new. Seems some are really gleefully stating I told you so etc. But some of us just want to go see our team on a Saturday and enjoy that part of life.

I’ve fallen out of love watching SUFC when Knill was in charge as it became just boring. When was the last time we can hand on heart say when we were playing really exciting football win lose or draw?

Doesn’t matter what league it was in but when was the last time you didn’t have to spend most of the game chatting to your friends or looking at your mobile for something that was more interesting than the game on offer.

‘Citeh Middle east owners. Whats right whats wrong?”

I think that’s a fair point. I wouldn’t want Newcastle’s owners if I was a supporter and it may well have pushed me away to support a local non league team. I’d like to have a better idea where the money that’s funding SUFC is coming from. At the moment it seems invisible due to the lack of filed accounts of owners businesses on Companies House (the usual go to, to understand these matters). Take Oldham’s owner, for example. We can easily check out and verify how he’s made his money and how that might well be funding the club. Some say, it doesn’t matter to them. Fine, I appreciate that, but it’s pretty important to me and I suspect many others.

If a survey was carried out throughout the leagues on whether fans were happy with there owners bet it would be pretty high percentage whom weren’t.

Spending too much, Too little, Big ambitions, No Ambitions, Skeletons in the closet etc etc.

We all want the best for our clubs

The old wooden structure is costing 350k this summer to keep it operational .

We were sold the dream ‘5 years away,2 years away,7 years away ‘ by our Alan Partridge wannabe former ‘custodian’ as he liked to call himself (if you want a snapshot of how to decay a club to almost the depths of oblivion over a 20 year period,i suggest go on YouTube and watch the ‘John Fenty stadium tour’ )

I don’t think we are ‘getting moist ‘ over it , we just recognise undeliverable promises – we had them , the excitement and hope it brings ,but for that hope to be dashed over and over again .

Now we have hope ,realistic hope and ambitions not above our station but at least not the comedown from all the broken promises .

I hope Mr Hilton can deliver ,but track record and projects surely cast doubt even from the most ardent Iron fan -retail enabling developments are dead in the water and councils ponying up money for Football Club stadiums long gone – if your new primary funder can pull it off at all ,he will not just be the saviour of Scunthorpe Utd but also a miracle worker .

Wasn’t it Fenty that offered the Conoco/Philips or whatever it was called stadium too? Don’t think it was.

Seems many Cods are the understanding we were spending above when we were in the Championship. Don’t think Steve Wharton would state that. And still many grumbled about him. Nobody can win.

Don’t think there are many fans that are totally content with there owners. As we know very little to be made in football so as we always ask why would they want our club?
If it wasn’t Swann, Hilton who would buy Scunny?.

Utd have Glazers they want rid of
Citeh Middle east owners. Whats right whats wrong?

Quite a few places only have 2 or 3 stands ..Carlisle and Gateshead to name just 2.

Im not daft but some of the comments especially delivering a new stadium in 2 years are lets say very optimistic i really hope i am wrong tho… i am however refraining from getting involved with all the very speculative comments and replies on both sides i just want the best for the club.

Obviously the biggest concern a the moment has to be if and where we will be playing next season and how this effects season tickets previously sold.

Back on the football ..seems after early rush the signings have ceased… and waiting to see the kits with anticipation.

    Same hear!

The plan maybe to build two stands so the two years is possible. Lets wait and see, I won’t lose any sleep if this that and T’other doesn’t happen. Not really too concerned if we are playing elsewhere tbh for the above to happen.

The kits that were shown at the forum looked far better than last season.

Codheads will be getting moist because the lack of stadium activities there end.

I feel like SOME Scunthorpe Utd fans total hate for Swann is putting blind faith in Hilton .

I have been a regular on here for about a year because I like the podcast and some good posts /banter from regulars – obviously good people who love YOUR club .
It’s the fans club not Hilton’s or Swanns.
It needs to be cherished and nurtured by the people that love it not a chess piece in a game .

    You need your club back

I don’t think people are putting blind faith in the latest not after what has happened over the years who would?

It is the fans club but nobody can afford it.
Town are lucky they have fans at the helm.
