I don’t care what Peter Swann or anyone else thinks but after the season when no support was allowed to come out with the statement we were going to have the lowest budget in the league was either going to encourage season ticket sales or getting people through the turnstiles, especially after nearly going down last season.
so supporters are going to be wary this season season especially if we are going to rely on young kids all season, though they should improve has the season goes, I haven’t witnessed anything like this in 61 years coming to home games, we had a few poor seasons in the late 60s and 70s but won more games than this season.
The sooner Peter goes now the better for everyone at the club and let’s hope he just cuts his losses rather than go for the liquidation route and have a excuse to bulldoze because there won’t be a football club to play there.2 users thanked author for this post.
But they were maybe not affected by the Covid

just seen that Swindon haven’t paid it but they were going to and the week before we played them they made some good signings, weird.
Swindon paid there’s off before the season started when they got new owners I believe, like Hull did.
Bradford city 0 -0. Scunthorpe boys
Hills former defensive skills finally rub off on the team and we nick a pointless point
Hill p30. W2. D8 l 20 win% 6.67the 0-0 didn’t last long
Like Pele said Stamp’s was a classic
You could say all our present squad who are experts at getting it on the wrong side of the woodwork

protest yes, sit in is stupid

that is a absolutely stupid idea, they will get arrested and banning orders and then regret it if new owners come in and we get a decent team, also seeing the Swanns will most likely not being hear will get the club in serious trouble with the FA

would love to hear another podcast with Brian about his comments.
April 20, 2022 at 8:27 am in reply to: Les – The Guy Who Attempts Optimism Until Reality Finally Kicks In. #236091so we are paying £3k a week for 3 players who don’t play while are fit because they are not in the managers plans.
But regarding relegation we have expected it all season so hasn’t bothered me at all, I would sooner play in any league that we are capable of winning some games, even a draw like yesterday felt like a win.

I used to love going to home and away games but stopped going away five or six years ago, now I don’t enjoy going to home games, especially the last four years, I do watch a fair amount of games on Sky and BT and enjoy the National League games, at least we might get a few games on BT next season and the standard is pretty good.

my first home league game v Plymouth 1961 and we won 5-1 with Barrie Thomas scoring 4 and having 2 disallowed, also the 2-1 win at Hillsborough in the late 60s.

It made a difference bringing Hallam and Bunn on, should probably have left Nuttall on as well and possibly could have won it, youngsters did well but I think we are starting too many, supporters have had enough of losing every game and I thought the goal was worthy of us getting a battling point.
Also praise for Rory today after some poor performances he made some good saves today, Matheson played well today and made one good clearance of the line.Out of favour with the manager according to the rumours
If someone comes in for the club it takes time so don’t expect it happen in a couple of days, the sooner it is done the better and it will be the best outcome for everybody, it’s obvious too much damage has been done to get the missing fans on board, now we are down I hope it’s going to be a new era under a new owner and the good times are coming back to the club next season.

I will settle for 3 points NI, whatever they are.
I sent Lee a text last night because us fans are concerned, this was his reply “Statement had to be brief, a long winded response would not imo have been appropriate, we are all hurting! Mick, I have given our supporters the opportunity to ask what they wanted prior to the last 2 games , spent 90 minutes in the pub with the fans on Saturday, which I will continue to do, need to stand shoulder to shoulder and look people in the eyes!!!, the Fight has started and the aim is clear, get our club back on track with a clear vision and hard working people who will sweat blood” UTI

he is a real genuine and nice bloke Awaywego, I know him reasonably well, seen him a few times this season at GP and he always has a chat, I haven’t spoke to him since he came back but did text him, I know his number, also I expect he will oversee all the new signings and obviously he will know Keith Hill well.

I asked Martin on twitter if he would do a podcast because we follow each other, on Matts behalf, but it got put off a couple of times for reasons I didn’t know, so whether Matt eventually did one he hasn’t said anything, I did my bit so left it to them, same with Lee Turnbull it was never the right time for him when I have asked him, but will probably do one now as Chairman about the club instead of his time here.
So many memories mentioned above, possibly the big wins at Forest, Palace and Derby and we will never forget Newcastle at home

Has Alcazar come back off his holidays on Cloud 9 yet.
Isn’t Beestin, Nuttall and Perry under contract and not sure whether Millen is as well.
I reckon he could have saved all 3 today, but 2 would have been good saves but savable
Not looking at that lineup, certainly settling for Scunthorpe United 0.
Are we going to spring into action for a change, rather than sitting back and letting teams boss us it would be nice to see us go at teams and put them on the back foot, but then again we have a lot of kids in the team and they get easily bullied
