My dad had a Minx when we lived in West Butterwick back in 76. Light blue convertible. Lovely old girl she was.

Do they still send out e mails prior to each home game?
Yes. 👍

Im happy with the players Hill has brought in in the window and pretty obvious these are Hills signings (no interference) theres more grit and experience in there now , Swann has supported Hill as he said he would …. now i just hope they gel from the get go.
I hope all the fans that can go do go and get behind the NEW IRON .. enjoy n sing yer hearts out for the lads.
UP THE IRON
It is a home game, so it is going to be the same miserable atmosphere as the usual suspects continue to moan in the DRE. With a few exceptions, it has been like that for all the home matches I remember. Going back to the nineteen seventies.
Just a minute. They are not ‘Mariners fans!’ They are stinking smelly Cod Heads….
I am not sure that Keith has somehow pulled a magic rabbit out of his hat. It is too much to expect after the shit show we have had with Cox.
What I am expecting is that he has purchased players who are better, and stronger, than those that they have been brought in to replace.
Give us a fighting chance, and a miracle might happen.

One of the (many) questions this all raises is why did we have to wait until the end of the window? I know a lot of clubs wait until the deadline but at the same time most of our signings are rejects & released players, could they not have come sooner? Like you say, they’re going to take a while to get up to speed and “a while” is something we don’t have!
It might have had something to do with having to get rid of some ‘players’ first. It can’t have been easy.

Those Germans bombed our chip shop! 😅

I think he has improved enough recently to be a decent player for Stockport County.
The posters on their message board are as miserable as you lot on here. 👎
This is true, away fans do their best to get behind the team. In my experience home fans just moan and gripe the whole match.
Best away attendance I have ever witnessed was in the fa cup vs West Brom in 84. After we knocked Leeds out in that second round second replay.
Happy days…

Any relation to Jenny and Mark?
Flashback of the Grand National that never was! 😂
Hill is going to assemble a team that contains many of what he refers to as “his men.” He is not going to do that than cut and run.
Swann does not deserve our support, but Kieth Hill does, at least as long as he is trying to save us from the grips of relegation,

So what, have we 20 games left?
If Kieth gets his players, then anything is possible. I’m not saying that I trust the chairman, I really don’t. But I do trust this manager. He had fed on scraps and survived many times in the past, but in our case he has a real challenge. I actually believe he is up to it.
We have seen what is probably going to be our downfall, and it may or may not happen. But we should surely be looking at it from a different angle. Plenty of matches left to turn this thing around,
Come on! UTI.

I’m just guessing here. I got the impression that Loft was better than the performances he put in for us. He gave us a glimpse in the match against Oldham, then went back to his sulking self.
He had to go, and there was no available replacement at the time. In short, he was taking the piss and getting paid for it. Shame we couldn’t give him a proper send off. Involving some heavy weights and a trap door….
I’m sure I heard Kieth say that any players wanting to leave can do so, if they can do so during the last couple of days of this transfer window.
If I heard that right, then more power to his elbow. If they don’t want to play for us they are not worth paying wages to.

Hill has had to leave it this late too. Probably something to do with getting shot of some deadwood to make way for new signings. I, like everyone else here, hope that it isn’t too late. But I am more confident in this manager than I ever was with Cox.
We have two or three really people important weeks ahead of us. Some gamechangers hopefully hitting the ground running..

It seems to me that our apparent inactivity in the transfer market has been planned so that Kieth can get players with whom he has had some involvement with in the past. I for one am happy to see a handful of Cox’s mistake get shown the door and be replaced by Kieth Hill’s tried and trusted,
Time to stand up and be counted Scunny fans! UTBI

They must have terminated his contract for a reason. Hope the Iron are not interested in this reject.

Seems like he is a right back anyways. Never mind!
Dirty (add expletive)! – Had he been one of our own I’d expect the club to take further action. But seeing as he is here on loan, he should be sent back, effective immediately. Disgraceful behaviour at any time, but during this pandemic? Good job the cameras caught him.

Thanks, I was going on memory from when I was still just a kid. Not our finest hour by any stretch.

That was the year (I’m pretty sure), when we went out of the FA Cup in the first round, beaten 0 – 1 at home by Barnsley.
The train from Donny was late, and it looked like they had very few supporters. Some Scunny fans attempted to get at them, and then suddenly they turned up in droves.
Long story short, a few of our lads got battered, as we suffered the humiliation of being kicked out of the Donny Road end, and having to crowd into the little corner. Only a load of police with dogs and truncheons stopped them getting at us after that.
I was only 13 at the time, stayed to the end. Don’t know why, it was embarrassing.
Interesting, so Keith will probably continue to play Rowe at DM. Could actually make a difference having a decent RB in the team.

Let’s just keep our fingers crossed, we are due a bit of luck.

January 13, 2022 at 9:09 pm in reply to: SWANNS Last Chance to Save Our Football League Status #221565The fat lady is getting ready to exercise her vocal cords in readiness for her song. There is time to change things, but Mr Swann doesn’t appear to show willing.
It’s getting tedious, and I fear that we will sign nobody in this transfer window. If that is the case then we are doomed.

It’s like telling an old person that he should be glad that he will be dead soon. That is not nice, and trust me, I can do nasty. I just know here and when to draw the line.

What is pissing me off with IFollow right now is all the bloody ads before every video clip. I’m already paying for it, why should I sit through 2.5 minute ads as well?
