A win today would be a turning point, especially if the teams around us in the NL were to lose. As things stand relegation is by no means a certainty. I would love to see a couple of new players, but hey ho!

It’s the excuse of many who did wrong. I was using it to make a sardonic statement on the comment prior to mine.

I wonder if the pilot and crew of the Enola Gay ever used that excuse. I don’t suppose they ever needed to…

Outwood academy (foxhills school) foxhills club, cocked hat, and ferry road west all still there, Sheffield park a shell of it’s former self wrecked by vandals no bowling greens no putting greens no tennis courts no central building anymore got burnt down within days of a new roof being fitted, no park keeper either.

I was from round there, went Foxhills too. Used to pick a certain type of mushroom on foxhills club field. Sounds like it is being taken to pieces a bit at a time. :(

It’s a little tight at the bottom of the NL, a few wins could see us out of harms way. Then and only then should we start making a plan for next season, the Gods all know we need one.

A GoFundMe set up with all proceeds going directly into the Iron Trust bank account. Surely any trust member, preferably living in the Scunthorpe area can set this up in five minutes. All they need is the account details to do this.

If any trust member can second this then I will. Next I believe is motion carried. Just please try and get something done.

Initially the aim of the Trst was to purchase shares and obtain representation on the board. The current lack of ideas or leadership would indicate that would have been a waste of time anyway.

Indeed, that would present an excellent opportunity for crowd funding. Either just buy available shares and donate them to a credible new owner / candidate so that they can easier afford to buy the club outright.

As a member of the Iron Trust, I’m afraid that they are destined to sit on the sidelines, doing nothing more than moaning as our great club dies.

    What a waste….

Dusky Prince – how we’d love some Arab Sheik to pop up and sink £20M in to the club.
Happy but not very probable days.

Dusky Prince will be running in the dark (floodlights actually) in the 17:45 at Newcastle tomorrow evening.

Owned & bred by TCSP, the four year old has ran at Newcastle on two previous occasions, finishing 7th of 7 (placed 6th) on one occasion and 9th of 10 on the other.

One win from ten starts on the AW.

Keep your money in your pockets.

Do we know any Dusky Princes? If you are one, please get in touch.

Won the race by a short head at odds of 10/1 but was disqualified and placed second due to interference (I believe).

It carried the horse that finished second right across the track in the closing stages. Got to laugh at the outcome of the stewards enquiry!

It actually finished first but was demoted to second place after a stewards enquiry. Lmfao!

While we’re at it, I’m glad your horse lost its race tonight (Dusky Prince beaten by Papa Don’t Preach).

I wonder how much of our money Swann had riding on that to win?

Are Iron-bru going to do one last podcast before the inevitable? Shackles off no need to stay in any good books get a few past heroes on to reminisce and also call Swann out for what he is…… you could replay all his old quotes

Can I join in Iron-awe, I have not pulled any punches normally, so my comments would come across as being normal, maybe I could sit between Swann and UTI-99, NO PUNCHES BARRED!!!

F*ck punches, big elbows, right in the mouth!

You can start a crowd funding for just about anything, although government run things like the NHS might be the exception.

All we need is someone, like the Iron Trust, to set it up, it takes minutes. Then links can be posted, on here and social media. Famous faces from the past, ie Botham, Keegan and Clemance, could be informed.

There is a lot of love for our football club, Blimey even Cods are saying they would contribute…

Before anyone asks, I’m not the right person. No single person is, other than the famous faces I mentioned earlier (that would be amazing.)

Please let us not be yet another much loved club that goes to the wall. Let us attempt every effort, go down every avenue.

It’s not with the gods, it’s with us.

    Please UTI

I’m glad that non of you like my avatar. It is my opinion that the EU will become a detail of history sometime soon. The flag will become superfluous, and then (thankfully) not worth setting on fire.

There is no need to be pedantic, the Iron is our club regardless of whom owns it. Owners, managers and players all come and go. We remain as the lifeblood of the club. Even as we tumble down and out of the football league.

    UP THE IRON!

We shouldn’t pay their tax bill for nothing in return

    “Their tax bill?”

It is our tax bill by law, if we are to survive we have no choice! I hate this too, there again there is much to hate about the state we are in and why.

Ok, so non of us want to line the pockets of this disgusting owner. Unfortunately he has ring-fenced his interests so that he gains whether we survive as a football club or not. Even if the Iron sinks without a trace, Coolsilk will still own the ground and all the surrounding land.

I can’t say on here how much I despise PS. But we are going to have to pay him off and get rid. Time is running out…

Lots of peole making suggestions for others to action is typical Scunthorpe fans.Just do it if that’s what you want to see happening.

This is not even remotely realistic. No individual can do this, why on earth would they be trusted? The Iron Trust is the obvious choice. We know them and we trust them. A no brainier innit?

So if the Iron Trust set up a Go Fund Me page, for example. We could post it and get people to share it. Also as Captain Cod mentioned, we have some high profile former players who still have affinities to our club.

Botham, Keegan, Clemence, Sharp, Hooper etc.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Trump is no hero, far from it. But he told then Chancellor Angela Merkel, to her face that Germany was making a massive mistake.

As far as our situation is concerned, we stand a better chance of getting out of the deep brown stuff without the constraints of Brussels.

I’m more concerned about what is happening to The Iron…

Oh the EU, again. I still believe that whole house of cards is due to take a mighty tumble in the near future.

The puppet master generals (Germany) appear anxious about the fact that they are desperately trying to find alternatives, because, as even Donald Trump had warned them, they were totally reliant on Russia for energy.

It’s called putting all of your eggs in one basket. That is how they role though. Innit?

We are going to have to loan a few more players to replace those who are leaving this month. Losing Butterfield and Lavery will leave a gaping hole. Hopefully our manager knows how to get people through the door..

If we somehow managed to win our next six matches, the odds would change dramatically. Bookies can see the mess we are in now (yeah thanks Swanny), that is why we are such long odds on to get relegated. 🤬

Not sure if these two are injured? But surely if they are fit they should be at least on the bench for experience at least, if their fit surely it can only be financial why they are not playing.

today we desperately needed to play at a high pace but we slipped into Maidstones trap played at their pace and got punished, the players need to be shown how hard it is for the supporters to keep giving their hard earned money and getting nothing back.

Today is the lowest point I have ever felt! In the 47 years of supporting the Iron, we had poor teams in the mid 70s but you want to the games knowing they would put 110% into the game even if they were outclassed.

I Was reasonably happy on Wednesday after the game as Wrexham were a class above us and we at least had a go, today against a very poor team we were made to look even poorer and I really do fear the the club as a whole.

Starting to believe Mr and Mrs Swann really do want us to go into administration as punishment for the mistakes they have made in throwing money into the pit and not getting to the promised land.

Three words to the both of them “SELL US NOW” please, please, please sell us before it’s to late and give the new people a fighting chance, But unfortunately I can’t see it happening as they have made their mind up to bankrupt the club.

Can you please explain to me how the Swanns will benefit more by bankrupting the Club than by selling it?

If they sell the club they won’t be able to sell the ground with us as tenants. If the bankrupt is they can knock down Glanny Park and flog the lot to a large supermarket for example.
