Another Brexit disaster. Project Fear becomes reality again.

“He described Brexit as a “historic error of monumental proportions” and said the new data on Oxford and Cambridge – usually the top performers in Europe – was “very worrying”. The losses reached beyond money, he added, with the UK also becoming less attractive to high-quality European researchers and students”.

In 3 years we have thrown away an open trade agreement with our nearest markets, lost the right to live and work across Europe, threatened the peace and hard-earned stability in Ireland, caused mass labour shortages, crisis in the NHS and as NI points out seen decline in a range of industries and services.

All because the Tories couldn’t stand up to the nutters and tell the British public that tax paying hardworking EU citizens were good for local businesses, services and the wider economy.

And the madness continues. This week Cruella Braverman said the priority was to stop the boat people or the Tories would lose the election. Wrong priority and wrong reason why!!

Stop releasing murderers and rapists early from prison with no supervision, sort out legal routes for asylum seekers and process them in weeks not years. Other countries manage this and end up accepting far fewer for permanent settlement than the UK does.

    Set of lazy, useless gobshites.

The one bit of the recent Bucks rant against the BBC I do agree with is the style and standard of reporting and the daily opinions of “our chief correspondent”. The worst of them all being the odious tittle tattle from the royal correspondent Witchell.

“There’s no money left”, “There’s no magic money tree”, “Mrs Thatcher’s shopping bag”, “our grandkids will have to pay for this”, “it’s basic economics”, “robbing Peter to pay Paul”, “we can’t afford it because we have to get inflation down”.

All scare stories from the Tories all promoted without sufficient challenge by the BBC. And the Tories have the cheek to criticise the BBC for left wing bias.

Hopefully the Tories aim to control all of our media is failing.

They’ve all had the same memo. When the forecasts are bad, it’s the forecasters that are wrong, not their awful Government.

What would you do without the publicly funded impartial BBC?

One article when you can find 100s of articles and respected organisations that tell a different story on the Tory Brexit disaster.

It is self funded. Even if you are right, so what?

Anyone who thinks the BBC isn’t value for money is clearly bonkers?

Plenty of Farage TV and other channels to satisfy your Tory fetishism.

9 years ago he literally had his snout in the trough. He is so “careless”. More like couldn’t care less. Come on Bucks, easy to find this stuff.

A Tory MP has apologised and promised to repay part of a £5,822.27 expenses claim for his energy bills after it emerged taxpayers were paying for the electricity supply to his stables.

Nadhim Zahawi, a founder of the market research firm YouGov, said he was “mortified” to discover the error, which came to light after he was among politicians criticised over subsidised energy bills.

Was thinking the same IA, if they all put the interests of the club first and have money to invest then why not? Happens on Dragons Den all the time!!!

Who has ultimate control of the club and egos might not allow it though.

    “I’m certainly not defending him”.

You are not commenting on him either. Lester Piggott and many others were sent to jail for being “careless” with their tax.

Do you agree that Zahawi should be jailed? Especially because the odious sod was threatening journalists with legal action for asking questions about facts that have emerged as the truth!!

Tories 15.2m from second jobs, Labour 1.2m.

Zahawi 5m unpaid tax including penalty whilst he was chancellor. Feel free to post the Labour MP with a similar claim.

Mone 30m in dodgy PPE contracts. Labour equivalent?

Owen Pattinson, cash for questions, defended by the PM. Labour….?

    There are plenty more!!

(even Channel 4, although that’s still public money).

No it isn’t. For somebody so full of their self importance you really should know your facts. Though clearly not required to be a Tory.

    As informed as Dozy Dorries.

So cut central government grants to local authorities for local spending by 10s of billions since 2010, shortfall mainly made up from the public with increased Council taxes, and then go on a northern tour claiming to be the levelling up hero for providing a share of a couple of billion. More Tory lies.

Might fool a few fools I suppose.

Whilst not adding anything new, Peter Hook & the Light are a good watch usually playing whole albums in track order with lots of oomph!

And then he was nowhere to be read again. Must have been his New Year’s resolution to take yet another break.

I’m sure he will have been interested to learn that private sector pay is going up at a rate of 7.2% versus 3.4% for the public sector.

And as for blaming the unions, the war in Ukraine, covid or the alignment of the stars, the public are blaming the Tories for the shambles in the NHS, despite the ramblings above.

“While they refused to listen to activists who disagreed and didn’t bother to think of how this might impact the whole of the UK”.

A bit rich the Tories making a stand against this line of policy making.

“he gets paid every time it’s played”. Does not include the millions of times it has been “played” in music shops or small bedrooms.

Like Robert Plant’s music over the last 20 years and it’s reassuring that he also hates Stairway to Heaven. The big difference is he gets paid every time it’s played.

“Mind you I have a whole list of what many regard as classics that have me reaching for the ear-plugs”.

Having spent most of the mid 70s and 80s in the pub, I also have a long list of jukebox “classics” that were constantly played by a range of people (most of them tossers).

So a life long aversion to anything by Meat Loaf, Queen, Guns & Roses, Lynard Skynrd, Boston, Chicago, the Final Countdown, thin lizzy (ok but not the same song 10 times every night), smoke on the water, stairway to heaven, the peter Frampton song and layla.

I’ll stop there as I’m sure you get the idea.
