Winkleman…
‘Probably one of the ones God created on the fourth day, along with the Sun, the Moon and the stars. Although how four days had passed when there was no Sun is a mystery!’
That’ll be three days then…
Injured.

Someone on FB has made a good point, if you’re in the last game of the season and goal difference is significant eg a minus 1 goal difference defeat gives you promotion (or saves you from relegation) and you’re losing by more just walk off and get a zero goal difference.
Why should we be punished on goal difference? Having said that, there’s no way of knowing that 2-1 would be the final score.
Having to replay the Eastleigh match is ridiculous when only seconds remained but fair play on the quick(ish) decision on the Wealdstone match.

Can I have my fifty quid back then?

Not long now NI…
Well done that man, let’s hope he can get Vicky McClure on board. The higher up the celebrity ladder we can climb, the better.

Done. You can take the boy out of Scunny but you can’t take Scunny out of the boy. Supporter for 63 years, how has it come to this?
Did Swann get us discount at Gainsborough?
‘Look at me ma, top of the world!’
That’s an A movie…
If you go down that route we should blame Wharton for selling out to Swann……
Are you for real?
Seems not, £25 is “too much” to go from Scunny to Oxfordshire and back.
Northamptonshire
Spotted dick.
Victory Park will be our 181st away ground.
Wow!
VAR in the NLN please, fan phone footage to be available to the fourth official…
I ate at three different carveries in August…
Wow!
Simple and possibly naive but I would rather the club die than have a ‘dishonest’ owner and all the crap that comes with it. Phoenix club would be romantic?
A strong (different) ref please…
We have played at this stage of the competition several times before, the most recent being in 1947 against Norton Woodseats.
I have a very minor claim to fame around this time. In 1945 we lost at home to Yorkshire Amateurs in the 4th qualifying round – the week before my Dad played in the App. Frod. team that beat YA in the league. Yorkshire Amateurs went on to play Lincoln City in the first round proper becoming one of the few teams to have won an FA Cup match but still be knocked out in the same round. It was the only time the ties were played over two legs, YA won the first leg 1-0 but lost the return at Lincoln 5-1.
Gainsborough if they win their replay. Swann derby…
Our 178th different away ground and possibly the lowest capacity.
24.8.68 IA…
You’ve covered most of them between you.
Floodlight failure/bad light pre floodlights
Crowd pitch invasion
Crowd disorder
Player disorder
Spectator death
Referee death
Player death
Serious injury
Wall collapsed
Racism
Player misconduct at halftimeThe other one is fire which happened at Nottingham Forest when the main stand burned down, with as far as I know no injury but sadly at Valley Parade where many died.
Most of the abandoned games are due to weather – fog, snow, frozen pitch, waterlogged pitch, heavy rain and thunderstorm/lightning. However there have been twelve other reasons that a match has been abandoned. Can anyone name them?
No idea who it was against but I remember a match a abandoned due to fog, had to wait twenty minutes for them to give us a ticket from the scunny v arsenal game for the rearranged game, must have been before half time for them to do that.
We’ve only played Arsenal once, in 1968 and there is no record of any abandonment that year?
As it was a Herculean task I think he only did league and FA Cup matches. Top of the list was Man City with 19 abandonments!
