We won’t be going until it’s all over.
Just give us a shout when we have a new owner.
3 folk will make our way back to Glanford Park.
But sorry I’m painting the fence till then.Yes pal, more enjoyment in fence painting when a bit o sun comes out, but far too many fans are “fence sitters” and thats why Swann has done what he has done to our once loved club, when you get pricks like Uptheiron69 and his arse licking day after day, everything sounds so rosey at GP, and as he says, he will be happy sitting there next season in the National League.

OK Swann has resigned, but is this a good thing or bad thing for our football club, although he is no longer the Club Chairman, he is still the owner of the club and all of its once owned assets, so he can and probably will leave SUFC whenever he chooses, and his company will still be the owner of the ground, car parks and training land, so in reality, nothing has changed or seen to be better for the club. We have no money, are being relegated out of the Football League, and do not have any kind of squad that can possibly regaIN LEAGUE STATUS.
What I have difficulty in understanding is why have the fans protests that only a few days ago were big talking points on here, vanished to?????, as nothing has changed for better for SUFC, we were going to protest in some way about what Swann has done to our club, and getting relegated after 72 years in league football, as I say, nothing has changed. Although I am aged 81, and have supported the club since 1951, I was and still are prepared to attend any such protests, but I suppose the hard core 1,800 remaining fans do not fancy missing the last 18 minutes of a match, Christ is gets more sick thinking that these people are still enjoying turning out every week to see such bloody rubbish, there is no wonder Swann condemns ex-fans for being missing. Our supporters have no back bone what so ever!!!

Pat, let’s see if any have the money needed to keep SUFC afloat.
Why are you saying that “the club is afloat”, it has already sunk, haven’t you had a look at the League Table lately:-
With seven matches remaining
OLDHAM 34 points
STEVENAGE 34 points
SCUNNY 24 points (1 point from our last six games)When you say afloat, are you taking into consideration that all the club assets being removed from SUFC, to write off all the bloody debts that this owner has ran up, but it appears that it has been others fault for the £13 million overspend, please crawl back under that rock UoTheIron69, people no longer take notice of the arsehole licking you do for Swann.

No need to Bobby, others have tried, although they have always failed, they persist in trying again ha ha!, no I think bartonsaint is more fitting ha ha!, what do you think Iron-Awe???
I think you should pay your back tax owed and shut up.
Sorry Iron-Awe but I fully paid all my tax dues, and also all te NI payments, so just stay with your racist description, but never tax dodger, in fact I would think that I paid a lot more tax than yourself if truth was known, but it’s nice to know that most of it will go towards paying the hotel bills for 45,000 of the drop out boat friends of yours at £100 per night for each of them, I just wish that these hotels were full of these poor people that Russia are killing and blowing up their cities, your drop outs should be sent back to France where they are coming from, anyone that thinks that are not racists.
Or bartonracist…
Baboon?
TwoWrights, I am sorry Hully Gully, but I do not have the qualifications to suit your suggestion, so I will stick to bartonsaint it seems more apt.
No need to Bobby, others have tried, although they have always failed, they persist in trying again ha ha!, no I think bartonsaint is more fitting ha ha!, what do you think Iron-Awe???
Why does the protest have to be peaceful? More would attend for something a bit more feisty, can’t really say to much about home games but at away games people have being walking out before half time, would any one notice, it might have an effect if we were winning but come on your talking about the 72nd minute and probably against Mansfield. Nah.
Same as you say Awaywego, the 72 min is far too late, it might be better in the 48th minute!!!
Sorry les I thought SNAP referred to Snidey Nasty Arsey Pensioner
actually we do have a lot in common, I’m in your and micks club. Do you think we could achieve a forum 6 with some others
No Iron-awe, there is only one FORUM SIX my friend, and you were originally a member of it, so don’t try and get out of it by trying to form a new one !!! ha ha!
Actually since the non-football section was removed from the forum, you original SIX appear to have disbanded Iron-Awe, and with no football being played at GP for the past 4 years, and none being talked about on here there is little point of the Fans Forum any longer, in fact I feel that I have become a bit of a saint with no where to discuss New Stadiums, new appartments, club debt, loss of club assets, relegation into National League, rubbish players, Cox, boat drop outs, loss of 2,000 fans and racist happenings. I suppose that there is still Swann to slag off, but everyone knows what he has turned out to be and what he has done to our once loved little club, and even he has lost the support of UpTheIron69. There was so much to talk about on non-football section, although Scunny United can really be classed as none football these days.
So I might change my password to bartonsaint instead of bartonscorpion, this spiral that has happened to my club that Swann has forced on us, has really changed me, in fact I am starting to lose the art of mis-spelling of words on here!!, members will soon not recognise me on the forum ha ha!
Great idea now we just need everyone in attendance to do it
Someone needs to shine a light on Peter Swann for the wider world to see
Not possible pal, he will be in Blackpool.
A mass walk out in the 72nd minute to symbolise our 72 years in the football league coming to an end. Then gather outside the Telegraph stand at the director’s entrance.
That’s if anyone can last 72 minutes watching this rubbish.
Yes Samways it is a good idea of yours to all walk out in the 72nd minute, but if fans see me leaving at that time of a game, it would just seem like normal times, same as you say, it is so boring and pathetic , it takes some dedication staying that long.
Just think though, it would really look funny with only UptheIron99 remaining in the centre of the Cluggy Stand, showing his wrath at such loyal fans action!!!!!!!

Many moons ago at the old showground I remember a copper used to walk close the wall at the Henderson avenue corner, he used to poke and goad until he got a reaction, somebody always took up his offer and ended up arrested. Then one day instead of poking back, an arm came out and he was dragged over the wall into the stand !!. As to nowadays, I noticed on my last couple of visits that the stewarding seems to have changed the mood, simple tip , don’t bother, save twenty quid and leave them to it.
I remember that copper Cokeoven, he was a thin police guy and he used to stand right up to the rear of someone and prod the supporter normally it was in the corner where that hut was at the rear, in fact I used to watch him do this, he never failed to do his stuff of causing trouble by trying to provoke fans.

It’s some achievement to be comfortably the worst player in a performance like that but Taft managed it.
Great post Jackie. I agree today we looked like one of Cox’s teams once they scored. No plan and no idea. Starting to have concerns about Hill.
Finally BS next home matchday if you are painting your fence can I come and watch if I give you a tenner?
Yes by all means MK, in fact I have some spare brushes pal and you could help me out, as long as you do not try and get me to watch iFollower, we could both paint a bit of fencing, then sit with a few beers and watch it dry ha ha! That again today was really pathetic, in fact I enjoyed sitting for 90 mins in that bloody traffic jam on the A15 more than watching that 90 mins, the Cluggy looked almost empty did you notice !
I wonder if it was some spirit giving me a signal yesterday when I could not get through to pay my £10?, I bollocked my son for getting it on for me ha ha!
I think the club have many other problems apart from the keeper!!!
Probably starting with the Chairman, and working through the playing squad, but as you point out, how the hell has Mussa kept his coaching job for so long????

It sure will Northumbiron, but my youngest son fixed it tonight, he said that Banks are doing extra checks with security and they could not send the number because my Bank had the wrong phone number of mine, I need to phone them and get a security number and give them my correct phone number.
So my son used his card and he got a security number on his phone, after it all went through I told him that I had changed my mind and was intending painting about 30 metres of 6′ fencing, as it would be more enjoyable than watching the match, he even took the £10 off me the tight twat ha ha!!
So it now gives me two options, either watch the game which once again will be like watching paint dry or watch real paint dry on the fence!!!, same bloody thing really.
Doubt if there will be a SUFC football club pal, never mind iFollower, so it looks like Barton Town ha ha!
Some great happening for our once great little club, I attended some of these games, but it is a very good job that the history of our club has not included the period between 2018 and 2022, this video would probably have been “x” rated, it is good to see the construction taking place of GP, but there is no showing of our two new Stadiums, or the refurbishment of GP or the 160 apartments built near the car park ha ha! or our sad return to non-league status, again thanking Mr Peter Swann!!!!
Really glad your going to the last home match BS, I am sure it was an hard thing to do not going this season especially early on, pretty easy now though I would imagine. The club should be inviting you and others who saw the first lge game as guests and make it a special day for you. In the absence of that I would like to buy your match ticket for you as my appreciation for being such a loyal fan down the years.
Thanks for your kind words Awaywego, but over so many years there have been some great times, not all seasons were like these past three years at our club. I appreciate your ticket offer pal, but as Iron-awe has said so often, working overseas for so long and in his words “not being a tax payer” finance is not a problem mate, but it was a kind offer from you.
Good luck and I just hope the club has better times ahead, it is very sad what has happened to our once great little club, but total mis-management has brought about our big spiral into non-league.

I also stated prior to the start of the season, that with Cox still our so called manager, that I would not renew my long term season ticket, and would possibly only attend an odd match or two, well that match will be our final Football League game at home to Hartlepool, I am sorry for it to have come true, but like Alkazar also stated that relegation would also hit us with Swann no longer interested in our club, he kept Cox on to make sure that we went down.
Only thing that I do not agree with is that I feel it will be Stevenage that goes down with us, and not Oldham.
I will not be going to Bristol, being 81 as it is too far for me to drive, but I shall attend the last home Football League match against Hartlepool, all being well, looking at ifollower coverage, my I32 seat in the Cluggy is still not taken, I hope that a few of my friends that sat in that area will possibly attend, at the moment all seats are empty.
I attended Scunny’s first League game in 1951, and many, many hundreds of matches since, and if I included away attendance, it would probably run into thousands, I still have an Evening Telegraph photo of me in a crowd on Henderson Ave waiting to get my ticket for the match in 1950, I was ten years old at that time, those were happy days.

Now that’s an idea for a protest. Anyone know where you can hire 2000 (OK then 1500) clown outfits?
Yes MK Iron, just find out who is the Scunny kit provider and you have your answer, they have been on sale all season in our club shop at GP, and are numbered so you do not get yours fixed up with the players.
Have you forgot about the years up until 2018 Renée, over 3500 at sheff u, being top of the table for quite a few weeks the next season, and 2 playoffs. Great memories.
You are correct Awaywego, but you should have completed what you wrote mate, top of the league one at the end of the year, then for some reason Alexander changed everything, and from playing entertaining great winning football, we then got 3 points out of the next possible 27 points, that completes what you were saying, but funny thing is that you ended what you were saying before putting the sad ending to it!!!!
1 user thanked author for this post.
50s and 60s were brilliant Mick!!!!
And you could name the team for the coming four matches, there were none of these long term injuries, unless a break of bone was involved, I am wondering just how many present day injuries are caused by all this bloody stupid diving and rolling about like circus clows, to then get up and run about five seconds later.
So it ended up being 5-1, and there was me thinking it was bad enough at 3-1, I just looked at the table, Scunny have only scored 26 goals in 38 league matches this season, and there were 322 fans trapsed to Salford to see this pathetic rubbish team, in my opinion supporters should boycot the next home match just to show their feeling towards Swann’s handling of our club.

We don’t owe Cox pss all, he has ruined the entertainment of many long term Scunny followers, and him and Swann are 90% of the blame for us heading or guided into non-league football.
Sorry, but this must rank as the worse performance ever put on by a Scunny team, and after 18 months of Cox, that is a bold statement to make.
You cannot even rate the players individually, it was 8 points to Watson, and 4 points to each of .the other ten players, ho sorry that should be the other nine players. We were playing at home against a team that are 4th from bottom and not won a game in seven matches, and could easily have lost 5 or 6 nil, our team started to put in a fight from the 82nd minute, before this effort, we had not had one shot on target before then.It was pathetic sitting in comfort of my study, and can really say it was £10 wasted, so what it could have been like sitting in the Cluggy stand almost alone God only knows. How the hell does any of the Scunny staff ignor the offer of a new two year contract to The keeper, he has been MOM almost every game, and yet he will be leaving at the end of the season, some one must have already lined him up knowing Scunthorpe do not want him.
I do not know what the gate was tonight, but at a guess it was possibly 2,100 by the looks of things, I should really have counted the fans, it would have been more interesting than watching the game, two terrible teams controlled by the worse ref seen for a few years, and although we have all been singing Hills praises, but what has he really changed???, and he did bring in about eight players in January, but what really has altered.
Swann, you should be ashaimed of yourself the way that you have guided a stable long serving member of league presence, into a club that is serving up such shite, and have no desent players, no entertaining football, no football stadium, losing big money weekly, already relegated into non-league football, and presently only have about 1,800 to 2,000 remaining supporters that must be crazy to turn out to watch that shite.

I just wish that some one had proof that he had visited Putin in Moscow !!!!
Even UptheIron99 has ended his support of Swann!
What about the 160 appartments Nort Lincolnshire Iron?
And running up the £12 million debt caused by very poor management. The club will go bust, and Swann will make a killing when his company sells the ground, car
park and training pitch.3 users thanked author for this post.
Really speaking, what is actually on offer that 3would tempt supporters to bother attending any games???
Supporters have been driven away by what has happened to their club over the past 4 years, the team has not performed, and fans are lucky to see our team have a shot on target, never mind hoping to see us score a bloody goal, the team have won 4 matches out of 35 league matches, this being added to a long run at the end of last season, plus we manage to exit all Cup games in the first round, the Charman does not attend games, so why the hell should he expect ex-supporters to turn out???
The club has been driven into the National League, there is no possible wasy that this team can win seven or eight games out of the remaining eleven matches, the football is no more than being pathetic, and entertainment is at an all time low.
Until this season, and last season due to Covid, I like many more have turned out week after week, season after season, but there is no enjoyment in thinking of wasting one’s time and money supporting our team that has been driven out of the football league due to mis-management by Swann and Cox, who should have been managing Brigg Town rather than a league team.
After 71 years, I never thought that I would be saying this, but I am not really missing going to GP, but good luck to the 1,800 to 2,000 that still wish to attend!!!

we have no chance what so ever of staying up.
1/50 ON to be relegated.
Renee, the odds should be:- 1/50,000, it is a good bet if you have a little flutter with £100 for a return of £102, thats a lot better way of investing than a bank.
[/quote] Scunny should have been 24 points, sorry for that, I must also have been dreaming!!
Beat Colchester & Barrow and we move on to 30 points – Upbeat and with HOPE!
Pinch a point at Salford – and confidence grows.
Beat Harrogate – and the Great Escape could be on!
Big, big games in March!
Wake up Renee, yur dream is about a 50,000 to 1 shot, and with a team that cannot ever score a bloody goal, just get your head down and sleep at night friend.
the present league table:-
STEVENAGE PLAYED 35 POINTS 34
BARROW 34 33
OLDHAM 33 31
SCUNNY 35 34forcasts for remaining games:-
H COLCHESTER 1-1
H BARROW 2-1
A SALFORD 2-0
H HARROGATE 0-2
A FOREST G 4-0
H MANSFIELD 1-3
A LEYTON 2-1
H STEVENAGE 2-0
A BRADFORD 3-1
H HARTLEPOOL 0-0
A BRISTOL R 1-0 Giving us a total of 8 points.Even if we scored 8 more points and teans near us lost ALL OF THEIR MATCHES, we would still go down, so what kind of results do you forcast for these remaining matches Renee ????????.
Just take a few sleeping pills mate if you ar having such nightmares!!
This would have been a good result if only the team could win some of our home matches, the single point games are of no use these days with us being ten points off safety, we gained 1 point on Oldham who are second from bottom, but they are a mile ahead of us, and also games in hand, we have no chance what so ever of staying up. We need seven wins from our last 11 matches, and as we have only won 4 games in this seasons 35 matches, Swann has done what he set out to do, and the question we should be asking is, will the club be placed into administration???, bercause we have no sellable players, no ground, and must be losing pots of money now that we have about 2,000 remaining supporters.
Well done Mr Swann and Mr Cox.
