The heading is “Daws talking sense”, sense or not the team was still rubbish, and played off the park, so although sense was talked, he has no answer on how to change things, and not one of the clubs existing young players even made the team, and sense is not a 0-2 defeat at home for the teams sixth loss on the trot!!!!!
My guess is that it will be announced in about February that the club cannot carry on the way it presently is, which is losing money each week, and with supporters not turning out and supporting the football club, the owner has nop other choice but to liquidate SUFC, and that he has done all that he possibly can do, but support has dropped off and that he cannot keep putting cash into the club in order to keep it going. So the blame will be placed on supporters which is typical of Swann.
His company which is in fact Swanns, will then own all the land package down at GP.
This is probably the fault of the Scunny supporters that have done nothing to nforce any information and just accepted and let things ride, which has seen our club drop from the League 1 play off position, to League 2 relegation, and to the BOTTOM PLACE in the National League in five years, some will say “what could we have done”, well you could have boycotted a couple of home matches and protested for one thing, instead of turning up at GP for every home match and either sat or stood there booing the team after conceeding another soft goal, and at half / full time after defeat and defeat every game.
Probably part of Swanns plans are to starve fans of any info to sicken off some of what few supporters that keep turming up, this is not what we want, but life cannot be enhanced by watching the shite that is being served up every week, I have attended for 70 years, but not attended one game during 2020, 2021 or this season, and hnestly have noy missed it one bit after hearing match details that are less than being grim!!!!

Swanny you said don’t compare you to fenty. Peter you are worse then him.
You are spineless. Come and face the paying fans. We have a marquee outside the Iron bar. I challenge you to come and face us. Or sell up and f—o–. Before the next game.
Time as come for a big fans protest. You are correct Marty, things do not appear to move at the club, so as I stated on this forum during the week, it is really past the time when supporters can just sit back and watch the club sink out of business, like Swann wants it to.
Why just keep turning up at GP and sit or stand booing when the team either conceeds a goal, or at both half time and full time, thgen take your place at the next nmatch, what did we end up with last season, could not win a match during the last 17 games, and have followed that up with seven losses out of eight games this season, with losses in all the past six games, WHY DOES THE CLUB STILL HAVE OVER 2,000 FOLLOWERS ATTENDING MATCHES, WHAT ARE YOU REALLY EXPECTING, OR DO YOU THINK THAT THINGS WILL CHANGE???.
Swann was supposed to appear on Radio Humberside today, but it was another of his long line of lies once again. It is past the time when supporters took some action and boycotted matches and protested outside of the ground, Swann will not see the protest simply because although he is the owner, he does not bother his arse to attend games, but it could well force some action into a completely static situation, show a bit of spine, and do not accept this continual ruination of our club. We have now reached rock bottom of the National League with 3 points from a possible 21 points, when are fans going to show their true feelings, not just to sit there booing like it presently is.
Swann shows his contempt for fans by keeping out of sight and keeping his big mouth shut of information, apart from the odd lie from him.

But you told us there would be buyers interested Alcy, have you changed your mind?
aAwaywego, There can only be a buyers of anything, only if the owner of it wants to sell the item, believe what Swann says if you like, but remember one thing pal, this man has spun lie after lie for over seven years now, and please remember that it will be his best option if he ends up with the land package of the stadium, the car park and the training pitch land, and that he has no respect what so ever for Scunthorpe supportersm and lays blame on them to take it away from where it is—his self!!!!!

Every game appears to be a very hard difficult fixture, so this should be another of a long list Renee.

Does it really make any difference what a teams record is regarding who Scunny are actually playing next, simply because they manage to lose against any team, no matter if they are a top team, or sitting at the bottom of the League, there is no real need to go into details regarding that issue.
We nearly know what is coming, five at the back, two up front playing apart from each other, cannot defebd set pieces, never keep a clean sheet, and very rarely get men in the other teams area, then let in a simple tap in at the far post, or a usual 25 yarder, but still 2,000 fans that are still willing to attend GP, and still even 200 soft enough to spend £80 to go on a 400 mile trip down south for another annoying day out.

Why would we spend money on upgrading the PA and repairing the scoreboard when we’re getting a new gro………….. Sorry, senior moment.
You are way behind times Cass, plans for the new Stadium, and also the second new Stadium fell through after Swann fell out with the contractor and then the NLCC. Have you not heard that Swann is now going to refurbish the existing ground, you really must keep up with the Chairmans plans Cass. The refurb will be starting when the club is established in the Championship——I to must be having a senior moment ha ha!
Well, after listening to that shite of a performace today, I just cannot understand why people are still paying money to go and be sickened by what is being served up by our once proud little club, it has sunk to an all time depth, and driven there by the great Swann!!.
Iwould love to know how many free kicks Scunny gave away again today, and there always seems to result in a goal from one of them, it was the same last week against Bromley’s ten men, but the commentators stressed that the team was not putting effort into their performance, but Hill thinks that they were wrong.
Just think, playing at home against the bottom team that had only scored one goal, and got one point from 5 matches, they come to another clueless team of ours and play Scunny off the park, Scunthorpe couldn’t string two passes together in the full game, and 3,100 attended after watching the teams previous rubbish games, I am assuming that there must have been 500 of them from Halifax.
What a pathetic performance once again, and playing at home against the bottom club with Scunny setting up with 5 at the back and just two up front by themselves, this manager is maybe worse than clueless Cox!!!!For Christ sake guys give next weeks match a miss, just to show Swann that he has ruined our club, protest outside of the ground by all means, but it is high time that this situation is changed, I will attend any such move, but just to keep attending just shows that you accept what Swann has and is doing, just booing and then returning next week is pointless really.

What do you base that on Renee, Halifax have only scored ONE goal in eight hours this season, I would think that a score of
Scunny 2 Halifax 0 will be more like it mate.Just watched ironary greths yt vid ans why was hill laighing at the end in the direction of the traveling scunny fans .. must watch ..this hiy is a fooking muppet n doesnt give a shit about the club or its fans ..just talks shit ..fook.off to Rochdale
Bloody hell Ironfromafar, after reading this, I feel like I must have a BSc in English!!!!
For how many years now has it been blasting people out of their seats?
I’d wager that some fans don’t go because it hurts their ears.Yes Les, it really is an annoying sound, but when you say that you think that some fans don’t go because it hurts their ears, this is possibly over the top Les, I would wager that there are a lot more supporters that do not go “because the so called football served up hurts their eyes”, so surely more hurt eyes than ears, and certainly many with tears in them!!!!!

How many bloody players do you lot want?, the club already has about28 players, the problem is that they are not good enough, and with Hill in charge, I would think that they are very unclear on what their job is.
Where are all the young guys that were supposed to be playing?, not many appear to be in liner for selection!!, according to the report, the young lad Wallace was the Scunny MOM in his first senior game, but will he start in Mondays game, I doubt it.Can he survive until Monday?
Sure Hill will survive until Monday, and a lot more Mondays after this one, simply because he is doing the very job that Swann wants him to do, Swann badly wants the club to go out of business, so his company can reep the money from the land package they took from the club and it’s supporters, it is working a treat isn’t it???
WG, please forget about the sale of the club pal, it will never happen, in fact there will never have been a buyer, it was just another of Swanns bullshit little sprats he has dished out over the past eight years, the man is a disaster, and every thing he has done at SUFC has ended up building up a big enough debt, which should be Swanns debt, but he has done it in the clubs name, and then taken the clubs assets for himself, why can’t moe people see it as it is???, and yet there are still about 2,000 fans putting money into Swanns pocket, I was a very hardened Scunny fan, but surely you can see that enough is enough!!!!
Surely when Swann kept Cox on as manager with his playing record and results, that eliminated all enjoyment and entertainment for our visits to GP, that was the final straw that broke me, and this guy is no better, Swann will not sell up, simply because without the land package, “there simply isn’t anything of any value to sell”, so WG, please forget the idea it will go ahead, I really wish there was a slight bit of hope mate, but as I said, there has been a very long list of lies over the past eight years, so why should things change now?????

My prediction for today is:- BROMLEY 3 SCUNTHORPE 1.
I cannot think of a better person for the job than UTI-99, he would be perfect for the task, and would be a perfect representative for the Swann !!!!!

No guys, the above has not been written by me under the Sharp-Shooter logo, but it has certainly been put in exactly the same words as I have been saying for 7 or 8 months now.
Swann has taken the clubs assets, that he clains the club owe him, but the debt has been built up by Swanns actions whilst trying to run the club HIS WAY, which resulted in complete failure, despite all his continual bullshit, he will not leave the club, and hand back the ground like he stated in one of his famouse speeches, all the assets will remain in his ownership, just mark my words, don’t take any notice of anything he spouts, we have had eight years of untruths.
Well put Sharp-Shooter, the man should be run out of town, thats if he ever comes to it!!!, he has ruined our once friendly respected little club, the man is evil!!!

Sorry to say Cliff, but Swann will not be out of the way pal, and if he was, the club will no longer exist, he wants the value of the clubs once owned land package in his bank account.

Must fully agree with that Charles, but I suppose with everything now associated with Scunthorpe United being of very little interest, what with continual relegation seasons, unentertaining and the continual boring playing set up, ground issue, Chairmans total lack of interest, and a team full of has been and sub-standard players, it will be so difficult trying to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. I think that this forums inerest was badly blunted when the non-football section ended,, although maybe this section could be renamed “the non football section”.
I suppose it could be worse, and coming off 30 years stint of being a shop steward ha ha!
WG—I have no problem with fans giving their opinions on anything and on this forum, but when you say that I have too much to say on most topics, this is so completely wrong pal, in fact I have not got all that much interest in Scunthorpe United these days, I had nearly 70 years of full interest, but the way that the club has been ruined, and the lack of entertaining football they have churned out over at least the past four years, I am really shocked by the number that still attend GP.
What makes you think that Swann will tell Mr Wright any truth, after spinning bullshit to over 5,000 original fans for eight years, for the record mate, I cannot think of and statement from him that has turned out to happen, I just cannot see it changing now. The land package that is now in Swanns companies ownership is of too great a value for it to be handed back to SUFC.
I just wish that the take over would take place, but in my opinion the longer it goes on like it is doing, the less chance I think it will happen, but it is of no comfort when forum members keep comoimh out with information “that never happens”.4 users thanked author for this post.
A complete waste of a new thread WG, nothing what so ever came of your last one, and this one tells fans nothing, I take it that you know no more than any of us other supporters, you just do not know, so it is pointless just stating that “I have been told” this, that and the other.
I know nothing about the take over since reading that a price has been agreed between the proposed buyers and Swann, but I still believe (and have stated this for over seven or eight months), that in my opinion the sale will be low priced, because it will not include the Stadium, ground and all the clubs once owned land which will be kept by Swanns company, so we are talking about the probable contents of the sale to the new buyer, being the players and management of SUFC, which boils down to practically nothing of any value, I have not been informed by anyone, it’s just my opinion based on the eight year record of Swann, who has not been noted for giving any previouse thruthfull statements, or anything that benefits either SUFC or it’s supporters, so why should things change now???????
New Stadium, before falling out with the contractor, then a relocated second stadium located nearer to the M180 before falling out with the NLCC, followed by the refurbishment of the present stadium, we are still looking for our new seats in this this refurbished one, then we also had the team playing in the “Championship”, or did we hear him wrongly, did he mean the “National League”, and not forgetting the build of the 160 appartments that were to be built on club land, sorry that should read Swanns land, and then the loan from the Football League which gained the club an embargo being placed on them, I do not know for sure, but it has been stated that the Stadium package has even had a mortgage taken out on it by Swanns company, so WG you can see from this list, that no notice can be taken from anything that Swann tries to tell you, or any so called statement from him.

The heading (Worrying times), is so wrong, all you have to do is just give up and stop attending, Swann has driven the club into this terrible state, and doesn’t even attend himself.I listened to the game on RH and they were outplayed throughout the 90 mins, even the commentators described the Scunny performance as pathetic, the team could not string two passes together throughout, in fact they couldn’t string one pass togethewr. This game was included in a Scunny run of ONE WIN IN THE LAST THIRTY FIVE AWAY GAMES), so how can 206 supporters travel all the way to London to watch such trash by their team.
People are complaining regards a big shortage of funds, and struggling to keep afloat, and fans are spending £100 to travel down there, which must have been a terrible 90 mins of football, and a miserable trip back home, I followed SUFC for over 70 years, but whilst Swann’s name is still connected to the club, I would never give him another £1 of my money, whilst he is awaiting for the clubs once owned land and assets, he has driven this club out of existance.

I know that UptheIron99 has stopped p[osting on here (probably because Swann cannot give him any reason for doing so), but are we sure that the same UTI99 is not the same person now using the Awaywego log on????????????
I thought at the time when you sounded so sure of the sale WonderGoals, that you were placing too much faith in that guy, who has fed Scunthorpe supporters lie after lie for the past seven or more years, he has fallen out with proposed contractors, the NLCC, the Football League, and snubbed all the Scunny fans, he is one evil person, who lies for the fun of things, his leadership placed SUFC into a deby of over £13 million pouns, then transferred the clubs assets to his own company, as a result of his own stupidity and extreamly poor management. He has ruined the entertainment of many fans, and then has just ewalked away and left them and the club in limbo.
Just do not believe one word that Swann tells you, you can tell when he is not telling the truth, which is every time he opens his mouth. I appreciate that many are real Scunny club lovers, but you must draw a line when Swann comes out with his bullshit.

The lads really played very well today, and I am so pleased it was such a change in the club to the past 4 years, the effort put in by all the players, and also by Lee, Keith and their staff, and also the fans were brilliant, and worth a goal start, they really turned up and turned it on, so well done by all. Also a big plus was seeing the two brilliantly taken goals, each of them deserved to win games. All we need now are new club owners, and a continuation of the effort put into todays match by one and all.Well done, and fans will turn out even more so if a new owner takes over the club, lets wait and see???, but 3,103 sure was more than I thought would be attending, as it was live on TV as well, which must have stopped a few fans turning out.

I see on the net this morning that the German press are crying that they were robbed, what a shower of pricks they surely are, they constantly roughed up the England players most of the game, and constantly riled our squad trying to get one red carded, it was they who are the cheats and bad losers, there were so many players in the England 6 yard box when Germany are claiming a hand ball, it was not podssible that a penalty could be seen, and VAR checks also reviewed the incident.
It is unreal that after the Germans are eight times winners that they cannot accept a defeat!!, in the past, they have had bigger defeats than last night, so get used to it you moaning twats.
Once again, well done ladies, you were brilliant, and really know how to celebrate a win, I bet there are a few sore heads this morning, the whole team gave their lot, and deserved their brilliant enjoyable win, the Germans should just accept that they will not always end up winning this compitition.
A very well done ladies, this is what England football has been missing, fight, skill, never give up attitude and just do not know how to lose. They were led by an excellent manager who has all her players giving 110%, not like the Englands men who are being led by the “the bearded wonder”, who just stands with his grim face looking into outer space, I wish the womens team manager was in charge of the mens team.
What a wonderful first goal of Englands, how many of the mens team would have shot straight at the German keeper, it was a wonderful taken lob, and never bettered for me in my 72 years of watching league football, and what a lovely sight seeing the England scorer take off her shirt and run round in front of the fans, nice pair of tits to!!!.
So a good night, and the Wembly fans really went wild, so did the team players and management, and even WonderGoals enjoyed the game even though he still had Nuttall on his mind!!!, just think, if Nuttall had that one on one with the keeper, would he have produced that wonderful chip?????????????????????????????????????????.
After allthe bullshit that Swann has fed to us supporters over the past seven or eight years, he probably tried the same thing with the NLCC, but they were probably not as gullable as we are. In my opinion, “there is only one shafter”, and the Scunny fans are the one’s that have been truly shafted, and we habve paid an heavy price for it.

Well that was some performance by the ladies tonight agaunst a top class Sweden team.
Although possibley second fiddle during the first 35 minutes, the England girls took charge of things and over the last hour really outplayed them, the England team running out 4-0 winners, that makes it played 5 won 5 and 20 goals scored and just ONE goal against, really cracking match again, and the speed and long range passing of some of these ladies (of both sides) wasfantastic to watch, and once again some really fantastic goals scored.
Looking forward to Sundays final, and good luck to the players and management, after saying that, for Christ sake replace that bearded wonder of a manager of the England mens team with the lady that is leading this ladies set up, replace boring negative rubbish type football with entertaining skillful football that is enjoyable to watch.

Very well said Ironking, you are fully corredt in all that you say, I put a similar piece on the forum earlier today, but for their own reasons “the moderators removed it”, it was not in any way out of forums rules, but moderators do what they think they should do. Anyway with a bit of luck the club will be shut of Swann, but it will not be as simple as that, but why the hell anyone would wish to buy the club in its present status, god only knows, but all we can do is hope that Swann has a little bit of a feel for the club and its remaining supporters, and just ask for a realistic price, what ever that is.
Good luck Ironking, but do not be shocked if your topic is also removed. -
