Should have been wearing a cap yesterday in the first half. UTWI
Barrie’s first hat trick in League Football was in a First Division game for Leicester City against Bolton Wanderers on the 4th May 1955, he was just 17. Barrie mentioned the opposing centre forward that day was one Nat Lofthouse ( England) who congratulated him at the final whistle. A proud moment for him.

I had an hours chat with him in the afternoon at the Wortley before his ‘Evening With’ with guest Jimmy Greaves. Should have recorded it, so many great stories he had. 22nd Sept 2000 that was.

I am Treasurer of the Winterton Iron Supporters Group. When we started we got flak from some parties, some suggested we had no right to even exist !! Well 18 years later we are still here, supporting the Club, various charities and local youngsters involved in sport ( after written application & approval) We plough our own furrow. Many of our membership are members of various other Supporters Groups, we have members all over the UK and one or two abroad. This year we are raising money for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, joining fees are going in that direction. We don’t like to fall out with anyone. UTWI

I love the away shirt and will be getting one. Re ‘Bri’ unless something has happened in the last two weeks he appeared to be OK ( but not in the best of health) two weeks back at Alkborough cricket. UTWI
Was that the 5-2 win ?? If yes I was there but should have been somewhere else !! I thought from memory Nigel returned a goal kick from the Posh Keeper from quite a distance into the DRE end net. That’s all I can come up with, sorry. UTWI
Has to be Barrie for me. It’s his birthday on the 19th. He was electric. A mention too for Terry Heath, what a player he was. UTWI
‘A Night of Stars’ in 1966 at the OSG lost money and they had some big names on. The Who remain the best live band I have seen, including October 1965 at The Baths, a life changer for me. UTWI

I have seen Oasis a few times plus Noel on three occasions. I have registered for Saturdays hoe-down and hope to get Wembley tickets on my next birthday. Recently saw Future Islands for the 5th time, music is a broad church. Last night in our pub the Landlord played in full ‘Abbey Road’ & ‘Harvest’ on their sound system. It was very enjoyable. UTWI

If they had gone totally cashless and John Staff was still with us would people have had to buy 50/50 tickets by card ??? UTWI

Winterton Iron sponsored Michael Clunan’s third kit, I will be selling it on eBay with a link to facebook, the money will go towards a kit sponsorship for next season. The club will get about 90% of the £150 it costs, the kit costs very little to make I am told ( might be wrong ?) UTWI
A Cup winner too !!
It’s a good watch in my opinion. UTWI
