The cods were on the verge of a takeover from June 2019 till it happened in May 2021, not an happy time for them, a convicted fraudster trying to get in on the act, Tom Shutes walked away at the last minute leaving the deal up in the air, Happy enough to know “when and if” a deal as gone through on our part. Get back in your box Alcy or at least tell the full story if posting.

We do appear to have been beaten by a part time team, their fans rejoiced in it, looked today and can’t find anything to the contrary, oh dear.

To little to late about some’s it up, Nuttall should have scored early doors better chance than last wks miss must put them chances away, pleased he scored 2 hope it will boost his confidence but that’s as far as I can go to credit him could and should have been so different with Feeney striking the woodwork as well. Then we went to sleep poor sloppy defending a la Harrogate, Sutton, and Orient, got an early lifeline second half, their goalie got lucky with 2 saves with his legs one from Carver other than that he looked anonymous, then a finish from Nuttall you just thought maybe, but with 8 more mins left not a sniff and they saw the game out easily, Ogle my motm, great when he’s allowed to go forward shame Hill makes him pass back to much mind you he makes everyone pass back to much, Butterfield not at the races today but others should have stood up, Wilson made a difference again, whether he’d be the same starting a game I’d like to see, their number 20 Arthur similar height to Wilson made them tick Wilson could do the same, definitely very disappointed we shouldn’t have been playing catch-up. Nice little ground proper non lge, let’s copy them and allow our own fans access to both ends when away fans are sparse.

A reliable rail service nothing to do with football give over, first away game, near to London, loads won’t be there tomorrow who would normally have gone. Everything to do with football without the fans what’s the point?

And next we will have the teachers going on strike, are they striking now? No silly me they and the kids are on a 6 wk break, they will wait till they go back to strike so to inconvenience the public, probably not MPs as most send their kids to public schools but heho guess that’ll be more babysitting for us, many families don’t even have that luxury f em. Yet another sector that weren’t furloughed no short pay for them just like the rail workers. Maybe Shapps and like should go on strike let’s face it they could earn far more in the private sector.

They get a better crowd than anyone expected, boo hoo were not having any of that, let’s say they gave away a thousand tickets aah that sounds better we can live with that. “Saddo”. First and foremost Scunny played well and won with the fans creating a great atmosphere, who really gives a shit how many pints were sold or who are sponsoring us. Though it was nice to see a family sponsoring the match ball and not a company, well done them.

If your rumours are true that others have walked away can only be a good thing, we want someone who is committed to the club not someone who gives up at the first hurdle, most deals fail because the buyer can’t come up with the finance not being fed bullshit, just look at the Derby saga.

Better crowds will come with a team worth watching, Swann or no Swann. 1700 casuals gave the team a fresh viewing more than anyone predicted on Saturday so it’s a start. Maybe we don’t need rid of Swann with the buzz around now Turnbull is running the show. But yes it would be better the sooner he moves on.

And probably most of the 3000 still want Swanny out but to their credit they haven’t stopped going just because of one man.

Talking of being behind the times, last time I was in Ashington the chippy left the bones in the fish and you had to butter your own bread with the actual loaf in it’s wrapper on the table, there was a deadly silence when Mrs A buttered my bread lol, as you can tell we did manage to get away with our lives.

Read the headline Blyth fan smashed away team supporters coach, thought there goes their chance of winning best away day again, but no the club invite them back to the clubhouse and give them free pints till a replacement coach could be arranged. Class!
