Cannot be. Has to be a decent all round keeper.
I am getting slightly miffed that this has not been remedied with real matches only a few weeks away.

Which half of the table at the end of season? After last nights effort and all this nonsense with the GK. ( he is not good enough for this level) I would say relegation battle. It is irrelevant that it is only a pre season friendly to be 2up and lose 3-2 to APP FROD is disgraceful.

Agree Les. Most important position to fill this season and can’t believe it hasn’t been sorted.

If it’s budget related then honestly, I think we would have been better off letting Roberts go than starting the season with Maison Campbell as number 1.

Chapman? Anybody know who he is?

Definitely Harry Chapman, midfielder who played for Barnet last season. Has played for Blackburn in the Championship and plenty of experience in League’s 1 and 2.

Apparently it was Theo Chapman ex Barnsley. Simmonds was supposed to be Keyendrah Simmonds.

Spot on WG that’s who ir was.

On that showing deserves another 2 or 3 weeks/games to see if he can fill Mo’s boots.

That Chapman looked promising by all accounts and set up the 1st goal.

Ahh fair enough…there was a pic on the club website gallery from the game and could have swore one of them was Harry Chapman. I stand corrected!

Practice games are for experimentation. Presumably, AB learned much from those goals being conceded.

Few FANS on SM raving about the trialList number 77 v App Frod .. Chapaman i think his name.. not sure we need another winger but most certainly an experienced keeper and the defense bolstering .. still like to see a hard as nails MF ball winner also.

He was the second best player on show on Tuesday night after Ewing.

Given the next best 2 on show were Frod’s 7 and 9 then he at least deserves another game or two. He has pace which is exactly what made Mo a good option.

Carlton can move but pace is not an asset for Whitehall, Beck, Beestin, Dawson or Howe.

    Have a look at AF’s 7 & 9 in training with us?

I think we have probably seen the end of the new Triallists. We have a few that we will continue to look at in the next week or so, but unless it’s a GK or holding midfielder I don’t think we will see anybody we haven’t seen before. Of those that have played so far, do you think any are worth a cheap and cheerful contract?

Theo Chapman looks half decent and appears to have a bit of pace and something about him. Butler mentioned we were in the market for a pacey right winger so going by that he’d fit the bill.

The young striker doesn’t look bad either, but do we need another ?. I suppose if a team is daft enough to take Beck, I suppose it makes sense.

Shipstone has been ok, but no better than what we have already at the club.

Johnson, Simmonds and Shipstone all got another run last night.

Also added Bayliss who came on for Evans and Matthew’s who came on for Beestin.

    Any ideas who they are?

Kian Johnson 23yrs old, GK “WE NEED TO SIGN BETTER THAN THIS TO STRENGTHEN GK POSITION”

Harry Shiptone ex cod, CM. 17/18 yrs old. Not sure which.

Josh Baylis, ex Gillingham young striker, youngster 19yrs old.

Brogan Matthews, a young defensive midfielder ex MK dons, 18yrs old.

Okera Simmonds, 24 yrs old striker “seems to be rated as he’s always come off the bench in every game”. Played over in Wales for Leek Town.

Quite surprised Theo Chapman wasn’t involved, but I suppose signing Chadwick he had no realistic chance of earning a contract.

Okera Simmonds 25 1.87m Centre Forward. Seems on books of Flint Town.

Josh Bayliss 19 1.82 Centre Forward. Released by Gillingham.

Brogan Matthews 18 Def. Midfld. Released by MKDons 30 Jun 2025 – says as acad player he was on £50 / week. Doesn’t
    much does it ?

Leek is in Staffordshire not Wales. I think you’re confusing the town with the vegetable.
