Club got his scan results back and it’s bad news. Initially was thought to be 4 – 6 weeks, but now will be much longer. Expected he’ll be back beginning/mid April, so he may be back for the play offs, if we indeed make them. Roberts will need time to get up to speed so I’m not expecting him to play a great deal.
I suspect he may be ready for the odd cameo off the bench. I like Roberts, but on his wage and ability to pick up injuries he needs moving on.
The difficulty will be for somebody to take a punt on a player who’s injury prone on that amount of money. Isn’t he on over 2k a week ?
