Well thats another game that we could have won with the right team selections and the correct tactics, this manager is not giving any signals that he is ever going to change his style, even though Tranmere were really poor and not had a win in their five previous five matches.
WATSON–3–Brilliant last week, shocking noghtmare this week, did nothing right, catching or kicking
HORNSHAW—4—Too many poor passes and shouls be better now.
CORDNER–6–Did ok.
BEDEAU–6–Same as Cordner but a few poor passes thrownin.
O’MALLEY–6– Played ok and is doing well for his age.
GILLIEAD–7–Covere a lot of ground, had a few good runs, but no one up front to finish off.
VINCENT–4–Not impressed with him, goes missing for long periods.
TAYLOR–8–Was the best of our players, did very well for his first game.
SPENCE–6–Defended well.
HIPPLYTE–4–He is not a league player, lost the ball often, cannot shoot, takes a good throw in.
LOFT–4–Like his partner, did nothing, never managed a shot, or even get in position for one.EASA–6–Showed signes of a big improvement and should start next week.
GREEN–4–Did nothing really.
TURAN–3–Cannot see why he is evenm in the squad.MANAGER–4–His team selection and tactics are terrible, and is very slow in changing them.
REF–9–Had a very good match, pity the players didn’t
I do not knpw where we are heading, over 30 players and playing like this, we have had five shots on target in our past four games, Christ what is happening with our club..
October 3, 2020 at 9:29 pm #195393Completely disagree with regards to Vincent, thought he did really well first half and was his best performance yet. I thought he was just as good as Gillead. Spence did well too.
All went to shit when mastermind moved Vincent further up and Taylor further back. Why he decided to do that I’ve no idea.
Made it all the more strange when Vincent and Taylor were both playing well in the roles they were in.

Taylor showed dangerous signs of carving out an opportunity, which could have led to a Tranmere counter-attack with us out of position. We needed to nullify that and have return to the comfort of mindless clogging as a defensive midfielder to prevent that from happening again.
October 4, 2020 at 9:38 am #195410Watson 5 poor punch out for their second goal
Hornshaw 5 not his fault but not a wing back
Cordner 6 not his best game but OK
Bedeau 6 gone backwards a little, but OK
O’Malley 6 good prospect
Gillihead 6 did OK
Vincent 6 did OK
Spence 7 played well
Taylor 8 easily best player
Loft 6 little support, played better
Hippolyte 6 still adapting, comical collision with his own playerTuran 6 little impact
Eisa 6 little impact
Green 5 little impactReferee 8 best man on the pitch, been impressed with refs this season.
Cox 4 everyone was looking forward to his arrival and attacking football, but this style of football won’t encourage fans to come to games when we eventually come back.
October 4, 2020 at 10:52 pm #195445Spot on Mike, and glad to see hat you finished up watching the game, but it was very poor the way we started well, then as usual dropped back and let a poor team take over. But there are big problems by the looks of things, when we have players like Watson, Hornshaw, Hippolite, Loft and Turan in the squad, and McAtee, Easa, Coulclough and the lad from D&R cannot get selected, and how the hell can we win matches with one shot on target again. A few fans say give him 10 matches, well after four league games and three cup matches, we have WON ONE, and we should have lost that one against Carlisle, who battered us.
