    Several years ago I recommended Stefan Payne from Dover Athletic.
    No-one at the club took any interest, but he went to Shrewsbury where his goals almost fired them to promotion. 22 that season…

    If any player is showing signs of being a good prospect, the Scunthorpe scouting team will have them in their sights, they did that during the summer when snapping up Hippolyte and Turan before any Premier team made a move.
