I see half a dozen European governments want a windfall tax on fuel companies who are, once again, profiteering on petrol and diesel.
UK seems reasonable, but in France, they are holding petrol at €2.08-€2.10, with 1-2 cents added every few days. (That’s £1.95-£2 a litre😳)
They get people used to paying over €2 per litre, it’ll never go down.
And government are complicit, with fuel tax, then VAT, so a tax on a tax.
As prices rise, they look the other way and rake the cash in. 😡
