The Trust probably deserves the embarrassment for taking its members for granted and jumping the gun. Making unilateral decisions, announcing fundraisers and undertaking media appearances before anyone had properly had a chance to shed a tear was seriously rubbish behaviour.
All this is compounded by Bryan Gosling of the Trust on X claiming that: “ people need to realise that this statue is for KEVIN KEEGAN, not for the iron trust, the iron trust have just voiced this idea from its members “
