I cannot ever remember any supporter wanting Morris dropping, he was similar to Gilliead, most fans attended games because they were playing.
Alexander had a good run of results at Scunthorpe, but he changed the playing system that last season he was here, about January when we were top of the League and playing really entertaining football, he suddenly changed it to do not lose style, we got 3 points from the next 9 matches after that change. We will never know why he changed it, or was instructed to change it, but When I asked him this question,he just said that teams had sussed Scunny out and the system needed changing. This made no sense what so ever to me, whilst being top of the League and winning entertaining games, I will never understand his answer to my question!!!
But this topic is about Cox, he must hold the worst ever Scunthorpe managers record in the 71 year clubs League record, I am not certain, but I think that there was a manager called Rooks possibly in the 70s or 80s that was terrible, but apart from the Cox record of not able to win games, the enjoyment is pathetic.
