Scunthorpe United have been unable to pay staff their November salaries on time, according to BBC Radio Humberside.
It is understood that the club communicated the news via email on Wednesday afternoon, adding that they were hoping to be in a position to pay the wages on Thursday.
The worrying development comes just one month after the club’s COO Lee Turnbull moved to rubbish rumours that the club had struggled to pay October’s wages, adding there was no ’cause for concern’ despite wages arriving later than usual into bank accounts.
