Southend away will have fans, but I get the impression it will be home fans only.
When I first started going to the Old Showground we played in White shirts with Blue and Yellow trim, Blue shorts and White socks with Blue and Yellow trim.
Also our White strip has plenty of Claret and Blue in it.
I don’t agree with you, the brighter the colour or white the easier to see, at the Sands Siro the trouble with the strip is it blends with the seats, I only think the problem is when under the lights, and the Bury one was because it was a very dull grey day and our players were difficult to pick out in all black.
All I want to see is being an attacking threat for 90 minutes with lots of shots at goal, something we haven’t seen this year and a while longer.
I have said for a long while you need some White or stand out colour especially under the lights, I can remember going to Bury a few years ago in the FA Cup and it was a real murky day and we played in all black and our players were hard to pick out from the stands, but Bury players were easy in their White shirts.
JonB said “That was a glimpse of what Scunthorpe can be, and just aren’t too often. Harrogate were garbage- favouring kick and rush at 100mph on a very ‘non-league’ park- and we coped admirably.”
DarynStampGoalMachine said “Good performance against a poor non league team in an appalling pitch.
Dealt with their long balOnly negative is a tidy Bolton side only score one against us yet a poor Harrogate two.l rubbish well and could have had a few more.”Lichfieldlad said “Only negative is a tidy Bolton side only score one against us yet a poor Harrogate two.”
so it wasn’t the fact we played well and were the better team on the day then, it was just because Harrogate were very poor, let’s give the players and manager credit when it is due, just hope Neil Cox realises now our best chances of winning is attacking and not sitting back hoping for a lucky break.
and Lichfieldlad we attacked last night and had 14 attempts on goal, so are more likely to concede more than when you park the bus 1-0 down hoping for a breakaway.100% record as well, I said that yesterday on Twitter that it was our good luck omen.
5 goals away from home and a penalty in one match, that’s too much to take in.
The trouble is Neil doesn’t believe we play negative football when you listen to his reports of games or previews the next game,
Even Southend had 14 shots at goal against Bolton twice as many as we had, and it is every game we only seem to get 1 or 2 shots on target. He got a 4 match ban so didn’t get off altogether.
you can only see another embarrassing defeat with only a couple of shots at goal.
we have enough of non league inexperienced players.
well said.
Did it keep you on track Lester Northumbiron.
Are they closed DM66, I had a eye test yesterday but not at specsavers, and my opticians have been open since July, when I should have had eye test but they are just catching up.
I agree with Ironawe and les, why change back to a failed formation because we were one player out, 3 centre halves never work for us unless it is late in the game, yet Cox didn’t bring Bedeau on against Morecambe, the other issue is we didn’t really threaten their goal, and though Gilihead had a good game he was wasted at the back and we should have played Rowe, I don’t know whether this is all down to Cox but he is getting some very poor advice.
In Cox we wanted and trusted with the added bonus of Lillis in there as well.
but Neil promised 4 4 2 and attacking entertaining football, but 0 out of 3 isn’t bad.
Our style of play has Russ written all over it.
Groundhog Day, nearly every home game this season we have had one shot on target, we have just had a three game unbeaten run when we have played a proper right back, tonight we played either Green or Gillihead there one as a wing back and three central defenders and we turn in another poor performance, we have had 17 games up to now and scored 12 goals with only one game when we have scored two, so Neil Cox this isn’t good enough and you can only see one outcome and that is relegation.
but say 1 or 2 each in a total of around 16 matches isn’t exactly a lot Cass.
Having a forward line that scored goals would be better.
Everyone should keep 2 metres apart whether young or old, or 1 metre wearing a mask minimum, no different rules for young or old
It’s a lot of the young ones who helped spread the second wave.
That’s why it is worse over here and USA, nobody wants to stick to the rules because they don’t believe what they hear from the people running it.
Got to admit I would sooner watch it on TV than go on cold winters night especially the way we are playing.

I think the late changes lost us 2 points, bringing fresh faces on didn’t help, and seeing we were hanging on maybe Bedeau would have been a better option, also we might have been better off if the ref had given them the corner which he had originally given seeing it came from Howard’s kick up field they eventually scored, but isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing.
Same as Callum.
Positives is we defended well, unlucky for Howard the goal, disappointment was we only one effort on target and hardly attacked, and old habit of sitting deep when we where the home team, we certainly need to attack more and also you don’t score goals when you don’t shoot.
Don’t forget that some families or friends will group together to watch it, social distancing applied of cause.
