It’s now widely presumed that there is severe division at board level, turmoil even. This unity stance for public image doesn’t seem to wash like it did months ago – and I wonder how a four Director matchday walkabout would go down now? Very soon all of the goodwill of the last 18 months is going to be lost due to the fallout around the FC100K, Smoking Goat and MerchLabs debacles, and whatever else.
So what would you like to happen next?
I’d like to hear from the Directors we presume are causing the issues, and of course the CEO. I’d like them to explain their vision for the future. They may have a lot of value to say, a lot of good ideas – but you’d never know as everything at the moment seems to be so clandestine, and the Club’s PR is totally collapsing.
Agree with this and would much rather hear it via the two Matt’s than the Four Stooges.

‘Bernard and Jonno’ will have them fired up. Potential banana skin but I think we’ll have enough – 2-1 Iron.
Nearly went a full week without a sideshow; feel sorry for Andy and the players who must be wondering what else is around the corner.
It’s the timing the board chooses to make these decisions which is the sickener, why couldn’t Goat/Merch labs be given the boot at the end of the year? Why was the FC100000 planned to be announced 6 weeks before the season end? Why has a festival been announced with 3 month notice ?
Some odd decisions/timings and all doesn’t appear well.
Novices.

I hope we’re all being overly dramatic and it’s nothing more but I think all the latest stuff underlines the lack of experience and footballing nous in certain areas. Should be focused on the five cup finals and not letting all these sideshows get in the way.

I’d question them going public the night before a game, but can understand their grievances too.
A wet dream for Sherbert and his ilk (oh he’s banned)
Having had time to digest it the Friday and Saturday are absolutely abysmal. I understand there’s an audience for the Sunday stuff though not my cup of tea at all. Still not sure there’s enough to shift tickets for that night still.
I know it’s local bands and tribute acts on the Friday, but where are you looking for the Saturday line-up? I did see D:Ream mentioned somewhere, though I can’t find that now.

‘Michelle has taken us as far as she can. Michelle has suggested this herself already.’
No she hasn’t. She brought in a CEO to help with the workload and is welcoming new investment. Very different to her saying she’s taken us as far as she can, but if 2+2=5 it’s fair game I suppose.
“She” didn’t bring him in!
A power play following a recommendation from our fishy friends. Great start he’s had too.

They do seem to have the rather unfortunate habit of being on the wrong side of the line don’t they?
Hilton
Stuart Maw nudies
FC100,000Am I missing anything?
Lauding Roberts, Sharp and Aitkenshead?
‘Smiling Assassin Ltd’ new (stab in) back of shirt sponsors?
Do you think the club has an actual strategy or was it all hot air from ‘Sharpy’?
Everything points to all not being well at GP. Hopefully nothing comes out until we’re up.
If this derails us, certain board members have a lot to answer for.
I get the impression they’ve had lots of rejections or never had the contacts in the first place.
He’s done amazingly with this festival – ten year contract

Sue Cook (aka D:Ream and Vengaboys) has pulled out
As someone with a broad taste in music, a passion for live performances, and a regular attender of festivals, I was initially excited when this event was announced. However, since then, it has become increasingly clear that the organization behind it lacks professionalism.
With no official line-up released, a website devoid of essential details such as the daily running order, and a general absence of enthusiasm surrounding the event, the outlook for this event is far from promising.
Given the ongoing rumours regarding licensing issues and council permissions, I would be genuinely surprised if the event goes ahead at all. Considering Tom Zanetti’s “performance” at the Chester match, this level of disarray sadly comes as no surprise.
Same here but I didn’t buy any tickets for this one. I’ve been involved in arranging events like this over a number of years in my line of work and you need 12-18 months to get the planning right – you can’t shortcut processes or you end up with the mess we’re seeing. Understand we’re desperate for money but it’s all a recipe for disaster. I hope there is no financial risk for the club with how this has been arranged.

The second ‘wave’ of acts were due to be announced last night. Second time Zanetti has missed his own deadline.

The club is fortunate Butler has managed the squad so well in terms of fitness. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves for this. Don’t have the stats but I would imagine this is the least players we’ve used in a whole season since the 90s.
Size of operation is a factor. The club is averaging attendances over 4,000, majority home fans, which is a lot more than in the later EFL days. A number of staff part time too.

All these account announcements from clubs on the day Arsenal and Tottenham announce they’re playing each other in Hong Kong for a quick cash grab. The game’s broken.

Did anyone skip the Southport home game to meet Tom in Sheffield at 3pm on Saturday? https://www.instagram.com/p/DHyF5jcNtDk/?igsh=MWlnaWtrcDQwMGR3NA==
The Hilton fan boys enabled this. You know who you are.
there were Maw of them at the time than claim they were now.
Don’t see the harm in events like this – do see the harm in poorly thought out events like the Weekender (reputational damage).
