Felt for Brennan at the end…was trying to play on one leg injured for the last 15 mins of the game.
MK – regarding your point no.2 I don’t think Dec on the right wing or Hurst as a centre mid is playing players in their natural positions.
4-3-3 is definitely the way to go though. Just a shame we only have left wingers and zero right in the squad.
September 12, 2026 at 5:59 pm #328003Been saying:
1. 4 at the back
2. Players in their natural position
3. Campbell should be given a goBut what do fans know about anything.
Was Dec in his natural position some were saying he was out on the wing ?

September 12, 2026 at 6:01 pm #328005Sorry bout the duplication phone was playing up.
September 12, 2026 at 6:07 pm #328006We don’t have any other midfielders. I would have started with Beestin instead of Hurst but he did OK.
Only position Dec is getting in this side is wide right. I think his natural position is playing off a big and nasty and we don’t have one of those. Whitehall only meets half of the criteria.

Well done Iron.
September 12, 2026 at 6:52 pm #328009Isn’t it nice to have that winning feeling again on a Saturday night.
7 points from 7 games and 7 games since we had a Saturday win.
September 12, 2026 at 6:55 pm #328010Nice cheeky win and a clean sheet to boot. We will take it.
Beat Boreham next week and we will be 7 points off the top ;0)
Yeovil got spanked at home.
September 12, 2026 at 6:59 pm #328011How long is it going to be Until TSF is played on the right in place of Dec Howe ?. Hurst looked good as an attacking midfielder, but where does that leave Gale and Beestin ?
September 12, 2026 at 6:59 pm #328012If Wealdstone can go there and come away with a 2-0 win… why can’t we?
Snap!
They look as if they are going to be the whipping boys this season.
So, how do you assess today’s performance?

Well done Iron.
Sutton were bad. Scunthorpe in disguise.

No, nasty.
September 12, 2026 at 7:30 pm #328017Good point Les. Sutton were as poor as Solihull.
Still a wins a win.
Another false dawn?

A good few yards ahead of Hurst. Don’t get carried away with one good finish.
Easy game for midfielders today against a Sutton team that decided to just vacate the area. Hurst did OK today and showed great energy and commitment but he is still just our 5th best wide player.September 12, 2026 at 7:49 pm #328019Superlatives can tend to stick in throats for some – much more than criticism.

Imagine that’ll be a huge disappointment to you.
Most sane fans will be chuffed to bits when other teams don’t perform against us.

He already has – last Saturday against Harrogate Town…

It’s not a huge disappointment and yes, I am sane. Just being realistic.
September 12, 2026 at 11:02 pm #328024Not long since been back. And I enjoyed seeing a pretty decent away performance. Seemed to be a more back to basics approach. Big three points. Sutton are shite.

Disappointed in Jones so far. I’d be tempted to cash in on him for a small fee in Jan to draft a natural right winger in.
Looked good in flashes, but that’s all it’s been in. In flashes.
