    Allo, Allo

Scunthorpe Utd 0.655 pts per game.
Season end points total at that rate equates to 30 points.

A Walsall win on Tuesday moves them to 32 points.
A draw moves them to 30 points.

A Carlisle win on Tuesday moves them to 30 points.

All the remaining teams in the division already have 30 points plus.

Technically and without realising it, the trap door may spring open tomorrow evening.

    Conversely:

    Maximum remaining points = 51
    Maximum total points = 70

Lincoln reached the play offs in 2005-06 with 66 points.

    Stevenage (2010-11) & Bradford (2011-12) we’re both promoted with a season’s total of 69 points.

I did post once or twice what our final points tally could mathematically be, but as it fell away it got too depressing.

and how many times we have got injury time winners over the last eight seasons that will occupy your time, I will give you a clue you only need one hand.
so basically we have broke all kinds of records in football over the years.

The first club to ko Sunderland out of the fa cup before the third round, first club in the world to build a cantilever stand, first English club to move to a new purpose built stadium (well certainly in the modern era).

Wasn’t that unbeaten run under Wilcox some kind of record, what was it, 28 games or something?

Yep, sounds about right. Think we managed about 23 in 2005 too.

    Allo Allo,

Walsall have lost their last 6 games on the spin and it’s 8 games since they last won.

Scunthorpe have lost 7 on the bounce and it is also eight games since a last victory.

Wallsthorpe / Scunthall FC (last 6 games combined)

    P12 W0 D0 L12 F4 A24 P0 (none)

    SUFC Scored 2 Against 13
    WFC Scored 2 Against 11

    Points available = 36
    Points accrued = 0 (none)

At footballpredictions.net – the punters see the outcome as:

    Walsall win – 58%
    Scunny win – 25%
    Score draw – 17%
    NSD – 0%

Both teams score a goal every 270 minutes.

As the game is being played over 90 minutes, one concludes:

Prediction – The game will be a 0-0 draw.

The bookies have Walsall as the 5/4 favourites!

Or, in Alcazar’s case, a simple “Good Moaning”.

    Shots 13
    Won 2-1

Possession football – who needs it.

    Stats don’t lie.

2 more points will see Barrow & Colchester move to 33 points

4 more points moves Oldham to 33 points.

SUFC are set to finish on 30 – 32 points.

    Not long left.

If results go ‘wrong’ tonight, then the ‘fhreatened four’ could all move to 33 points plus.

The C&B are on course to conclude the season on 31 / 32 points.

    Bristol Rovers v Barrow
    Carlisle v Rochdale
    Colchester v Leyton Orient
    Crawley v Oldham

We will all be desperately sad if it ‘ends’ tonight.

    :-(

If anyone is hoping that we will stay up with 33 points, then I’ve got some bad news for them.
