The club said it would initiate contract offers in March. Well, March has arrived and here are my thoughts:
First Priority, Cal Robert’s. Do this before anybody else, oh and reassure him ( and us) that he will play wide on the right while you are at it
Second Priority, if Danny Whitehall is out of contract tying him up for another deal is a must UNLESS we already have scouted and been in contact with a PROVEN Centre Forward who can hold the ball up and bring others into play ( this is neither Beck nor Dawson)
Third priority. Scout and contact an experienced first choice goalkeeper to come in the Summer.
Fourth Priority, Scout and contact a central defender, good in the air with a bit of pace.
Fifth Priority, Scout and contact a midfield general that tackles, talks and distributes the ball forward.
Who else in the Squad we enter into contract talks with, I would wait and see where we finish ! Personally the players we have put on loan who are out of contract, I would not offer a new contract.?I say this in the belief that Dec Howe has another year to run.
Of the loan players we have had in this season ( excepting the two that arrived this week) the only 2 I would like to see next season are Westbrook and TSF!
