Decent competitive player and always gave 100%.

Could do with a Togwell clone just now in our midfield.

Part of our successful era for four seasons, glad Sam is making it into management, hope he does well.

Football!! The place where people watching the same thing see things differently .
100%er certainly Togwell, but fell into the “run around a lot but seldom made any meaningful contribution” category. A more talented Terry Barwick. (Be hard not to be really!!)

There was nothing wrong with Togwell, Cass, did his job and never let anyone down.

That scrapping midfielder so many call for. The 2 that I rated were Dean Martin and Sam Togwell – knew what they had to do and did it.

Dawson was a pretty good footballer as well as winning most of his tackles. Also refereed most games – always in the refs ear.

Let’s not forget Jim Goodwin, often at the receiving end of criticism, but often dragged us through games by the scruff of the neck.

Just banter, you have to be precious or a hypocrite considering the amount of times certain former players get jeered at during games to let that bother you.

Nowt wrong with Toggers. One of my favourites of recent decades was Lund. Lean and athletic as well as combative.
