I see Danny Cowley’s reward for keeping the Terriers up is his P45.
And now it’s rumoured that Nigel Pearson may become the third Watford boss to get fired this season.
Are all managers on a hiding to nothing these days or does it all make perfect sense?
July 19, 2020 at 3:53 pm #185607Pearson gone.
July 19, 2020 at 3:54 pm #185608Cowleys? I suspect they were sacked for wanting more transfer cash
July 19, 2020 at 4:50 pm #185613Does anything shock us anymore regarding sackings in football these days?, two barmy decisions IMO. No chance of EP sacking Wilcox though, I could live with that decision.
July 19, 2020 at 4:57 pm #185614Hopefully one of these managers will take a chance on the Iron, with a contracts that doesn’t include a payoff of they are useless.
On the face of it, it looks like we will be stuck with Wilcox 👎
July 19, 2020 at 7:54 pm #185619Officially differences in the playing style stated by Huddersfield.
July 20, 2020 at 8:08 am #185621I would say if you sack a manager within the first one-two years, that’s generally the fault of the person hiring that manager.
July 20, 2020 at 9:23 am #185624Both managers did what they were appointed to do, namely get the clubs out of the relegation places. So why get shot before the season ends?
Just don’t see the logic in it. I can’t imagine Crowley was on the same money as Wagner, or Pearson on as much as Gracia/Flores so I doubt if it is cost-cutting.
Over zealous owners?
July 20, 2020 at 11:42 am #185635Alastair Crowley?
July 20, 2020 at 7:34 pm #185668As I have said before it is irrelevant who we have as Manager, it will always be the same defensive, negative, boring football under the current regime, it cannot be a coincidence what has happened under EVERY Manager we have had in recent memory.

July 20, 2020 at 9:24 pm #185686Especially if appointed by a casino owner!

I don’t think that’s fair, if you recruit properly, by advertising the position, interviewing a broad range of candidates and having a clear idea of what you want from them and what you’re going to do to help them achieve that.
July 22, 2020 at 12:24 am #190631Delighted to see Watford drop into the bottom three. Hope they stay there!
July 22, 2020 at 8:03 am #190634Definitely! That would be very funny.
July 22, 2020 at 1:28 pm #190663Hope Russ is in the running for the Huddersfield job!
