There’s a lot of “noise ” about Andy Butler and negative tactics but I reckon he’s pretty positive tactically this year.
He chose to not worry too much about the defence from the off ,he even let our combination of Sepp Maier and Buffon go . He brought in Ewing and trusted in Alfie to add energy to our attacking line up .We started the season playing on the front foot and when we had a dip in form when our defence was getting exposed there was a lot of noise about defenders , he chose to strengthen the forward line rather than go negative and look at defending. Positive indeed
Not much we agree on but I go along with that.
Respect to Clunan for being “a busy c**t” (as Jaap Stam put it) etc, but this season has been much more entertaining than last season because the midfield has been more attack minded.
I had little or no respect for Clunan, nothing’s changed
Clunan was OK but Rowley is a better footballer. He has been a revelation in a position he didn’t seem to have the attributes for.
Credit to Joe of course but a fair bit of credit to Butler as well for seeing that.
We’ll need all of the midfield 3 to be at their best to get results tonight and Saturday.

No respect for a promotion winning captain who always gave his all for the badge. What a wild take.
Was that his all? Good grief
