Played too much “Butler ball”.
At the end of the day we’ve drawn too many games
You say that, but I’d argue the last three away games (all 1-0 defeats) was where it was lost.
Fair point Brandon, if we’d drawn those last three away defeats we’d be still one point clear with our fate in our own hands. Overall though it’s too many draws over the season that has cost us ” walking ” the league and the budget and fanbase points won’t go away, we should have walked it last season because of the same advantages we have over the other teams in the division.
I’ll go back to the first draw against Warrington that started the rot followed by turning up at Scarborough without a recognized striker, rings a bell.
He couldn’t play a striker at Scarborough or he wouldn’t have been able to play 4 centre backs.
I’ve left a few away grounds angry and confused this season but Scarborough was the only one I entered the ground feeling that way.
im of the opinion many players will leave regardless where we are playing.. hopefully sharing a taxi with AB n Scoff (might need a minivan)
I’m afraid not playing to ours strengths, not as if we have too many of them mind, Bottler was more interested in what the opposition were capable of or tbh Not.
He will smarting at the fact.
Problem is at this level when a player can’t find his own team player it doesn’t help. And we’ve witnessed far too much astray passing.
Gonna be difficult summer throughout.
I reckon Buttler will be still here come August.
He’s seen what can’t win the league. But we will live 2nd fiddle for sure to Macclesfield. And quite possibly a few more.
To right MK everyone optimistic until 2 o’clock when the team announced then everyone was left deflated, going and watching the match never improved the mood, dire absolutely dire.
Even then we all thought we’ll get someone in to cover the lack of forwards in the next week, but know Butler and the board thought they could wait 2 months only to go back to Scarborough and bring in one of the donkeys from donkey field.
