Hi Scunthorpe fans,
Sorry to hop into the board with something not Scunthorpe specific and I hope I’m not violating any community guidelines but I work for a film production company and we’ve just made a scripted comedy pilot called Life In Non League, set around a fictional non-league football club and the volunteers, committee members and regular matchday characters who keep it running.
It’s shot in a mockumentary style and is very much based on real experiences at that level — budget arguments, club politics, stewards taking things too seriously, people doing five different jobs on a Saturday, all the stuff anyone who’s been around grassroots and non-league football will recognise.
The pilot has just been released on Youtube ahead of Non-League Day on tomorrow. If you want to give it a watch I’ve included a link below or you can find it on our Shush Films Youtube channel.
Thanks.
Great watch even had their own mugman Dave on there.
Haven’t watched it yet but don’t worry about ‘violating any community guidelines’. Most violators hsve left in a huff.
Was a good watch and hope it continues past the pilot!
Not too bad but not a patch on Rovers
Not a patch on Mike Basset fighting with Scunny Bunny!
