Ernie had just been waiting for Nigel Pearson to become available without having to pay compo!

Jamieson going to a localish Championship club.

‪Can’t help but think Russ has turned the gig down. Security with the 23s, or the poisoned chalice. I know which I’d prefer! ‬

Ignore my previous comment it’s more likely that David O’Leary has finally seen the light and is coming to join us.

    I agree with Vader, it’s O’Leary.

Cautiously optimistic, think Wilcox back to the 23’s is a wise move whoever made the decision, keeps a little continuity. This next managerial appointment is so important to get right

Will probably announce that Cygnet has been away doing his badges and will be taking over in the dugout.

Sadly we have been here before all too frequently in recent times NI. However if this pending appointment goes wrong then it will leave us in all probability of being a non-league team in 9/10mths time.

Wow, only our 6th managerial appointment in 2 years, I’m sure it’ll be a good one, just like the other 5!

Dawson and Wilcox were only labelled as caretaker or temporary to be fair. Though, we do go through too many managers, and I’d argue that Alexander, McCall and Hurst have every right to feel aggrieved.

Alexander and Hurst certainly. Not so sure about McCall.

Reasonably long-term caretakers – not like they just had one or two games. Dawson had, what, best part of a dozen to take us down?

McCall was only here for about 6 months and didn’t get a pre-season to get things in place. I’d argue that’s pretty hard done-by.

It’s quite possible the new manager won’t get preseason with the players and most likely won’t even get to select his squad.
    All a bit dejavu.
