Welcome Jake, I hope you know where the net is.
August 20, 2021 at 1:35 pm #2122055 goals for Walsall and Newport last season in 30 appearances, and 5 foot 9 tall.
August 20, 2021 at 1:36 pm #212206Well we were all wrong, good luck Jake rooting for ya.
August 20, 2021 at 1:37 pm #212207Third time lucky from Bournemouth we hope.

August 20, 2021 at 1:41 pm #212208Surely has to make more of an impact than Cordner & Vincent.

August 20, 2021 at 2:20 pm #212211Someone to work in tandem with Loft we hope, when Loft is fit of course. What’s this maybe a 4-4-2 coming back to GP?

August 20, 2021 at 2:34 pm #212213Or dare we hope for 4-3-3?
Pugh, Beestin, Perry
Bunn, Loft, Scrimshaw
Might give us a bit of a goal threat for a change.August 20, 2021 at 2:43 pm #212214I’d stick to 4-4-2, Cass.
4-3-3 you play too narrow and I don’t fancy all those crosses coming into our box.
(If we’re trailing … maybe.)Nice topknot, Jake.
If he can hold the ball up on the edge of the box – I almost consider that as important as scoring in this side.
Have the best year of your life at the SVS, Jake!
I reckon we have to start with him on his debut tomorrow. I know it’s not the done thing with us but needs must.
August 20, 2021 at 2:52 pm #212215Nah! Let’s go for a 5-4 instead of a 1-0 les. Give the (reducing) crowd some entertainment and get a few more back in.

August 20, 2021 at 3:10 pm #2122164 4 2 as a basic st-up. Seems to work for us.

August 20, 2021 at 3:27 pm #212217I’ve been watching some video clips of him playing, he has good movement, and knows where the net is. If the team can get some quality balls through to him I suspect he’ll bag a few goals for us.

August 20, 2021 at 3:39 pm #212218Surely has to make more of an impact than Cordner & Vincent.
To be fair, Cordner definitely made an impact. Never heard of Vincent!
August 20, 2021 at 3:44 pm #212219Cordner had deceptive pace. Was even slower than he looked.
To be fair Vincent showed a few nice touches until the Iron injury curse got him.

August 20, 2021 at 3:58 pm #212221August 20, 2021 at 5:37 pm #212223I’m actually looking forward to the match tomorrow, it’s been a while I’ll tell you.
I hope young Scrimshaw gets some game time. Even more so if he can start to build a rock solid partnership with our Loftie.

August 20, 2021 at 5:48 pm #212224As good as we could hope for, I think.
Now prepared to say that if we do not get too many more injuries, feel happy to plan for lower mid-table.
Interesting to see which CB goes if we go 4-4-2. (Loft for me.)
If Tyrone is fit – think Devarn might not make the 11.Still a strong chance that it will be 5-3-2 in which case the 11 virtually picks itself.
Anybody know if he has trained with the team yet?
August 20, 2021 at 5:54 pm #212225I meant Taft not Loft, of course.
August 20, 2021 at 6:08 pm #212227Is he the player that was spotted with the ‘man bun’ in his hair. Ifso then he will have been introduced to his team mates some time ago. I hope so, because that would mean he has been here and about the team.
August 20, 2021 at 6:27 pm #212228No LK.
August 20, 2021 at 7:10 pm #212230Late on in a game if you need a battering ram up top to take pressure of then give Fin Shrimpton a chance. Would work well with Jessop, Wilson & Pugh.
I realise Fin would be out of position but he will upset defenders.
August 20, 2021 at 7:43 pm #2122345 goals for Walsall and Newport last season in 30 appearances, and 5 foot 9 tall.
Professional career, 5 goals in 11 starts & 21 subs appearances.

Don’t want to be the party pooper Les, but lower mid table feels like a pipe dream at the minute.
Still think we need another
striker/winger bringing in as a minimum.A GK too If Bilson is a long term injury, any news on how long he’s out for yet?
August 20, 2021 at 10:30 pm #212237Thought Neil said GK not as bad as first thought.
August 21, 2021 at 1:01 am #212242Aye but which goalkeeper is Cox’s first choice? I know loan players should play whenever available, but that has not always been the case at the iron. Also I ask this because Watson has been given the number one shirt.
August 21, 2021 at 10:08 am #212253hadn’t he been given the number 1 shirt before Bilson came here.
August 21, 2021 at 11:05 am #212257Back to back decent games from Rory creates a nice problem for Neil.
August 21, 2021 at 11:49 am #212259So expecting a blooper today then Les.
August 21, 2021 at 12:51 pm #212260No Mick we got Billson on the 26th of July and Cox announced the squad number’s on the 27th, I did remark about it at the time, he didn’t deserve it and thought Cox was been generous to him.
