I often speak to the elected, independent reps who are outside the ground (and unsheltered) every home game. But I may make my point politely and directly on Saturday-time permitting.

I wonder on what basis you consider me to have a chip on my shoulder. I haven’t got personal with you, so what’s your beef with me, champ? Happy you new year to all, btw.

From your posts you seem to resent that the club have not actioned on your thought on the subject.
From the club cosying up the vlogger, the club more or less taking the side of club elected voice of fans ie, Ryan. And the club not commenting on the matter or having words with said drummer.
That’s where I think your chip is Saleiron.
I myself have many beefs with the club and normally take action on them in various ways, you could well do the same on anything you feel strongly about and this is certainly something you appear to feel strongly about.

Collins defines having a chip on one’s soldier as “a feeling of anger and resentment because you think that you have been treated unfairly in the past.” Now, I posted about the specific issue of the fans’ rep yesterday. In what way have I demonstrated anger and resentment in that time frame? I wouldn’t expect anyone to have done anything in response even if I had raised it directly with the club or VoF. (Today is a Public Holiday for starters). Also, given I seldom post here, I can’t fathom how you would form a view of my motives or personality beyond those shaped by your own values or prejudices?

For what it’s worth saleiron I’ve been out with supporters of various league and non-league clubs the last two days and when I relayed this topic, all said your initial observation and second observation was concerning and worthy of discussion. These are fans of the Iron, Leeds, Man U, Burnley, Alfreton, Altrincham and Liverpool. Just saying. And fair play to you raising it.

Must admit it was disheartening hearing it at a Scunny game, along with the pro- farage chants. The Tommy Robinson chant was sung by 20-30 young lads behind us, there was an angry response from half a dozen or so Scunny fans and it quickly stopped. I asked a young lad behind us why he was singing it and he didn’t have a clue, seemed embarrassed when confronted about it.

I believe the covers were on last night and removed this morning to prepare the pitch. Pitch inspection due this pm as conditions likely to be similar in 24 hours. Sensible approach imo.
