I know it’s a Mickey Mouse competition, but what is it with this guy and wholesale subs on or around 61 minutes?
61 and 67 is fine, nothing to see on that one Alcy.
1 at start of second half. Two on 61 minutes . Two on 67 minutes
Forest made similar changes.
Yes it’s a Mickey Mouse Cup but it’s giving players game time.
You’re stretching things a tad in your crusade against Butler.
The more worrying thing is we played the game with only one competent midfielder. More worrying still is that he’s the only fit competent midfielder in the squad.
Time will tell if Richards can double that number once he’s fit. Early signs were not overly promising.
Who else is a genuine midfielder? We have some decent 10’s, Butterfield, Beestin and according to the Yorkshire Pep we have Gayle. But no other 6’s or 8’s.
Butlers only unquestionably successful recruitment in the past has been in midfield with Rowley, Westbrooke and Ewing but he seems to have overlooked that area this summer.
One thing was obvious from tonight was that Hurst and TSF are not midfielders. Against a pretty poor U-21 outfit. Nothing derogatory intended against those players – they are actually wingers.
I would love to have Fitz back of course but sadly it’s really not our biggest problem right now. Butler needs to knock on some doors that are somewhere other than Hull or Doncaster and find a couple of Ryan Yates lookalikes in on loan.
Last thought. Things I never thought I would say. Campbell is the best goalie currently at the club.
