The silly puppet fan group is clearly set up to circumvent this line in the FGB
“Mandatory Fan Engagement: Clubs must adopt a, “fan engagement threshold requirement,” which involves regular consultation with a representative fan group on key strategic matters.”
It’s clear in anyone ‘s mind the group that legitimately represents the most fans is the Iron Trust ,it’s also democratically run, properly registered as a trust and submits statements and accounts accordingly .It’s biggest plus is it’s independence
This is a clear threat to the cosy set up at GP in my opinion as show n when they protested about the ridiculous FC1000000.
The hand picked Puppet group was set up purely to get around dealing with the trust . As for the Presidents etc we now have ,good grief!1 user thanked author for this post.
May 13, 2026 at 7:58 am #320724Maybe time for the trust to step up then and make the club deal with the trust,if the club fail to engage publish and say the club won’t engage. Then take it from there. Protests!
The lack of anything from the trust of late, where’s the condemnation of the small 17% minimum season cricket price increase or the ticketing fiasco at Rochdale, like I said on another thread the cod trust are challenging future ticket allocations on behalf of fans. And from ours nothing.
Time again for the trust to pull it’s finger out and represent all fans members of not and start challenging the club.May 13, 2026 at 8:27 am #320727Going to be difficult to play cricket over the summer on our pitch.
May 13, 2026 at 9:03 am #320731See Rochdale tickets thread!
Pull your finger out Iron trust.
Nice to see jerry having another pop at the trust, mind you in this case he as a point.1 user thanked author for this post.
May 13, 2026 at 10:34 am #320737Rubbish. The Trust had no part to play in the ticket allocation. It’s cheap and lame of Jerry to deflect attention to the Trust. ‘What could the Trust do differently?’ More relevant to ask ‘what could Unity Iron do differently?’ given their closer association with the club.

May 13, 2026 at 11:02 am #320740The trust had no part in the ticket allocation, what the trust could do is to try and make sure it doesn’t happen again it’s 3 times now Deerey in a year that’s what the trust could do differently, are you happy with the inaction from them, do you not think it’s not a matter for them.
Certainly cods trust 1 Scunny trust 0.
Liverpool trust and fan groups “Not a penny in the ground” worked and changed Liverpool’s stance on increasing their season tickets by 5% yes a massive 5% not 17% like ours, down to RPI 3% this season and no increase next season.May 13, 2026 at 11:41 am #320742Mariners Trust is the biggest Supporter group over there, afaik.
Because we can’t ever come together we have Iron Trust, Unity Iron, Bru, Iron Hour and Voice of the Fans
Think the MT might have more say and power?

May 13, 2026 at 11:53 am #320745No difference they have fishy, cod almighty, praise and grumble and the trust.
If you don’t engage you won’t get any say, power you create your own power.
The Scouse power of not spending in the club shop and food outlets was to much for the Liverpool board. Wasn’t easy mind plenty of abuse thrown from both groups happy clappers and protesters.May 13, 2026 at 1:00 pm #320749It’s all well and good pointing the finger at the Trust to do more awaywego. But it takes two to tango, and you know full well the relationship situation between Trust and current Board. Does the Cods Trust have a healthy relationship with the GTFC Board? Maybe they do.
As Jerry seems very interested, perhaps he could volunteer his services as a mediator? :)
May 13, 2026 at 2:09 pm #320753Just read the “fan engagement threshold” in football governance bill and then tell me the trust can’t force a relationship upon them.
All club trusts are the only recognised group within the bill and within the FSA they have the rights. (Not to say clubs can’t have engagement with other groups)
Certainly well out the bounds of the Vof that Cass keeps going on about on the Rochdale thread.May 13, 2026 at 3:06 pm #320754Why ‘out of bounds’ for VoF?
