DECENT QR code reader

Which one do people recommend?
The one I had, every time I used it, it kept saying it was out of date and I should download a new version.
When I did it just wanted to sell me stuff.
Is there a decent one out there?

You don’t need one. Your camera should be sufficient.

Not all phone camera’s have them. Mine doesn’t. Never use QR codes anyway.

Just bought a numeric padlock.
It had no instructions, but a QR code.
Scanning it took me to the instructions for setting the code.
I’ll try my phone camera, supposed to be top notch.

Your phone should work no problem alcy from androids to my current iPhone 16 the camera has always worked fine when it comes to QR code reading although I don’t use it loads TBH.

Actually alcy if you read the link DM posted about QR codes the article specifically says not to trust a downloaded QR app reader from an AppStore and always go with your phone reader through your phone’s camera, sounds good advice to me.
