Anyone go?
Any match reports?
Flash score doesn’t even give me the teams.
Scunny won 7-1 keep up FFS.
Some guy called Aston played from Sheffield Utd they reckon, team sheet is on the fans facebook page.
2 different 11’s each half.
4-3-3 ish first half with Brennan, Richards and trialist in midfield. Energetic work out against a Btigg side that didn’t seem to have the quality of previous 2 pre seasons.
3-0 at a canter.
Then the dreaded back 5 made it’s 1st appearance of the season so inevitably we conceded. Possibly the line up was to give our excess of full backs a game. Played two of them at centre back (Ogle and Horton) and another in midfield. Butterfield took things fairly easy and Smith showed some nice touches.
Beestin watching from the crowd as was Mahady apparently.
Overall good workout and suggestions that while our first 11 is weaker than last season the squad depth is stronger.
I agree with MK Iron that the squad is stronger, but the first 11 weaker, due to the absence of Roberts. However, I’m hopeful that we have the experience and the subs to be able to close out games when we are in front!
Scunny won 7-1 keep up FFS.
Daft response.
Stick to being afraid of Trump.

Gone fishing
I noticed that all but keepers wore numbered shirts and Butler explained the reason for that, still to be decided (yeah, right!!) I don’t remember seeing squad numbers announced, can they be found anywhere? Not on OWS.
Let’s hope it’s with the intention of bringing in a new quality no.1 rather than toying with the idea of Campbell again. Jones is a decent enough keeper but probably not of the standard required if we’re serious about promotion.
Doubtful. In Butlers BBC interview he was asked about interest in Harvey Cartwright. After checking that he was a keeper his answer was a fast and firm NO.
