Braithwaite’s signed dual registration with us and Gainsborough. Perfect for us as he’s getting game time and we can recall him as and when we need him. Already has 4 assists in two games for them so when he does make his way back, he’ll be fully match fit.

Also the striker we had on trial doesn’t sound as if he’s impressed much. Butler said we’d be here for him to train and retain fitness, but he’s already on trial at another club.

No loss if it is who everybody thinks it is.

How does the dual registration work with wages, and who has priority ?

I think we hold more power over him in terms of priority. Butler explained it fairly well and came across as he’s there to get his match fitness and he’ll be straight back here as and when we need him.

No idea when it comes to wages. Made a massive impression there already. 3 assists in his last match and one on his debut. Braithwaite’s a very, very good young un.

i was hoping Braithwaite would get signed full time as IMO he had done enough .. suppose this dual gig (however it works) is a better option than loosing the lad to another club in NLN.

Obviously Duffus didnt cut the mustard and turned out to be a Duff ..us , ILL GET MI COAT!!

Challenging for a CM start will be Clunan, Scales, Rowley, Brogan, Law and probably Roberts and Beestin (when Carlton is back) depending on formation. Is Braithwaite llikely to get a game? Next season could easily be his time when several of those mentioned will be OOC, will they be retained on much reduced terms?

You can add Shrimpton to that list as well, you’d think Braithwaite is well down the pecking order but could be a useful option off the bench when injuries / suspensions hit later in the season, and as said if playing regularly for Gainsborough then should at least retain match sharpness.

Beestin (when Carlton is back) depending on formation

Beestin will only play in CM if there are no other options available, which going by the number we have is highly unlikely. Butler strictly sees him as a striker/forward.

Anyway on to Braithwaite, he’s training with us, but playing at Gainsborough which is not only handy to get him and keep him match fit, it’s important for development because he hasn’t played that many games throughout his career.

I will say though that if he keeps chalking up the assists for them it will be a matter of time before clubs start to take notice. Before it becomes a real possibility he could be poached by another club we’ll need to step in and offer him a full contract.
