Having the kind of players mentioned is one thing. Playing in the correct position in a system that works is another.
One could argue that we already have them in the squad, but to have all the qualities listed is a big ask for the NL. We were lucky to have Callum Roberts and it’s no surprise that he’s seamlessly moved up two divisions.
Sure there are some out there, Boreham Wood seem to be able to unearth them from time to time but they’re only 12 miles from London so scouting is a lot easier that asking Hull or Donny if they’ve got anyone surplus to requirements.
I still think it’s down to coaching and management. If Mbappe came to Scunthorpe he’d probably be played at right back!
