OP correct im first team assertions… need to trim the squad to a capable first team option for each position with a promising young and inexperienced player waiting in the wings.
The team needs more pace at the back and as others have repeatedly said the successful year’s were build around a strong and experienced spine. Unfortunately we are now too low in the pyramid to attract those type of players.
Need a defined system we stick to and stop worrying about what the opposition have got, a bit like Kevin Keegans maverick football.
Need to get back to polishing gems and making money from transfers. See Fylde have just turned down 500k from York for their striker.
Academy is a dream and won’t happen again until the club are in the EFL and established as financially stable which could take forever.
