I thought Butterfield looked a bit poor to average at best against Stoke (on his own terms, I mean), and in the other games he’s made appearances he’s not had the anticipated level of impact. He’s not a patch on what he was in terms of creativity, and his passing has been off the mark more than half of the time. After seeing him play against us away at Gateshead, I wondered what Butler was doing signing him in the summer (other than accidentally lining up the next manager for when he gets fired this season following a run of seven or eight poor results).
