IMO the ‘toxic’ label is an urban myth or untruth created by a small number of people who took their ball home / didn’t like being criticised and it’s stuck without much credible substantial evidence because it’s convenient and sounds good, in today’s love or hate world.
Completely agree with this. ‘Bru toxicity’ is a handy phrase used to dismiss opinion contrary to the common denominator / positivity guff churned out elsewhere. Most often used by the hard of thinking, it has been peddled by the likes of Max Bell, the cult page, etc.
