I’d start Parker from the off to see what he’s about alongside Beestin. I can’t see Butler risking Whitehall for anymore than 10/15 minutes. Give another chance to Richards alongside Rose “if deemed fit enough” and then bring Rowley on. Hurst and Smith out wide, again to get them up to speed. Ogle looked miles off it against Southend so I’d give him more game time.
JB needs minutes. I’d start him at CB. Starbuck out of position at LB just to give him much needed game time. Probably will start Horton though. Starbuck is arguably the best RB at the club, especially now Butler see’s Rose as more of a CM player. Going by the evidence so far, we’ll be needing him next to Rowley in midfield.
Not convinced by Richards, so be interesting to see if he’s as limited as I believe he is.
These suggestions are based on the chances Butler may be struck by lightening before the game and suddenly changes tack to a 4/4/2 formation.
