Opening fixture result often tells very little about the coming season.
In our 4 years in National Leagues we have won every opener. Twice the teams we beat away from home on opening day went on to be champions.
In our only home opener we beat Yeovil fairly comfortably then only managed 31 more points in 45 games. Yeovil of course were relegated as well.
Still a win is always a good way to start a season. Going for a 2-1 to the Iron.
