RIP drummer Paul Hammond, who I knew for a short while a few years before his untimely death in 1992 aged 40. Such a waste. A very talented musician and lovely bloke. Reminded that he’d have been 74 now after seeing Carl Palmer, who he replaced in Atomic Rooster, watching the BBC Proms Prog Rock programme.
