As a few have said on here, my suspicion is that next season will be a slog. However, AB’s recruitment hasn’t been too bad on the whole (jones, ewing, westbrooke, howe, horton etc all picked up cheaply), but its probably going to take 2004-06 levels of effective wheeling and dealing to get players in here who can do a job on a shoestring. Think it’ll be clear within the first month what sort of a season we’re in for.
Galatico approach is fallible as proved our first season in NLN, so big hitters chucking money around like FG/Carlisle etc isn’t necessarily terminal.
